I really love these figures. Joe, you're correct, the problems you had with the Hunter Predator seem to be a one-off issue, as my Hunter is just fine.

Really can't wait for NECA to get Linn/Dutch and the assorted Alien figures out to complete the set. AvP Arcade is my all-time favorite beat-em-up arcade game and I'm devoting an entire shelf to this display. I'm even going to attempt a custom dio to emulate the look of one of the game levels.

BTW, it's true the that game never got a proper home port, but if you're dying to play an arcade-perfect version on your PC that includes controller support, just download MAME and the game's ROM and you'll be all set.

I actually have a custom Raspberry Pi with about 13,000 games. AvP is always in the rotation.

Man these look soooo good. Has anyone ever said why AvP was never released digitally on PSN or something?

Simple- Capcom's licensing agreement with 20th Century Fox has long since expired, and sadly, Capcom isn't willing to pay the bucks to re-license the property just to port a 1994 arcade game to home consoles. So, no "official" release, but again, go with MAME. It's free and it's perfect.

However, NECA's license with Fox includes all of the Predator-related properties that Fox owns, including the characters in AvP Arcade, so at least we got figures out of the deal.

If I hadn't already pre-ordered the Mad Predator, your shoot would have made me! Beautiful work as always Joe.

This AvP Arcade line looks to have incredible paint app. I can't wait to see the Aliens

Huh. So it may be possible to play AvP again without jumping through a ton of hoops.

Yeah, my first thought upon seeing this was "Please release AvP digitally".

Same. I hope that it's not exclusive and they'll release the games separately down the line.

Seeing the 3 aliens in person at Target recently finally made me want to get all the AvP Arcade figures, and seeing this awesome photoshoot made me confident that I made the right decision. I really love the vibrant colored paintjobs on all of them.

I've sworn off NECA's Alien line due to repeated quality issues, but I have to say when photographed correctly, they really do look incredible.

This is some of your best work yet, Joe. Just. Amazing.

Bravo!

Now that NECA has finally released the entire AvP Arcade series and I have purchased them all, my life is finally complete. Now I just have to find an extra shelf to display them...

BTW, can anyone tell me if Dutch's head is an altered Arnold sculpt or a brand-new one? I can't quite tell.

Um, that thing is $250 for only 16 games, and both the controllers and the system-to-TV cable set-up are said to be weird and awkward. Meanwhile, MAME and an AvP ROM will cost you nothing, and a 2 year-old could set that up on any modern PC in seconds. There's no hoops to jump through, I assure you.

Yeah I'd be tempted to get that for $75-100 like the more reasonably priced NES and SNES Classics, but $250 is ridiculous for a measly 16 games. Especially with that awkward console design and controllers. I've also heard a lot of people complaining about the dumb decision to paint the buttons the same colors as the Capcom logo, causing them to blend in and disappear within the surface of the console. Horrible design all around.

No idea but it's an interesting head sculpt. I see a little Eastwood and DeNiro in the face and it almost has a Dick Tracy movie villain look to it too.

I believe it's an all-new sculpt. There's too many differences between that and an Arnold portrait.
