This is great news. Glad to see more toon turtles being offered directly thru their site. Hope they offer the April 2-pack next. I'm getting really tired of Target store hunts 3+ times a week and hope this indicates NECA is moving in a direction similar to Super 7 to just offer preorders online and bypass the retailers. It think this year has proven that the Target/Walmart exclusive route just isn't a viable option for collectors and only pisses them off and makes them quit the hobby.

They should just do this and extend the window, but Randy says they get sales they would not normally get by having stuff in stores. They get impulse buys. Pretty expensive impulse buy.

If they want to continue partnering with stores to get extra sales, then that's fine as long as they also offer this 1-2 week preorder window online for those of us who don't have the time to go hitting every Target or Walmart in our area multiple times a week.

That was for international customers only, though.

I hope they'll do a guaranteed pre-order for the April 2 pack too. |

Awesome I'm glad they're doing this. I did find it odd that you can't buy both in one cart, I guess to make sure you pay twice for shipping.

I don't understand why this problem is ONLY with the TMNT figures. I can go get any other NECA product at almost any time from anywhere with no problems. But when it comes to the Turtles , the fans and collectors are almost Ravenous about them. I don't know a single other property NECA has that fans are so nuts about. Now , don't get me wrong, I really like that they are doing this direct order thing. And I realize that they have to jump thru a lot of hoops because of Playmates. But I would love to know some numbers on the direct buying from NECA vs what gets sent to stores. I mean if the stores as a whole are sent 10,000 and the numbers from the NECA site are say 20,000??? then NECA could clearly see that the demand is way above what they projected. BUT if the direct numbers are less than what they make for stores, then how much is scalpers vs fans????
A quick google search says Target has about 2000 stores, if and I mean IF!!!! every store got 3 of each figure ( which 2-3 seems to be the amount found or seen) that is only 6,000 figures. I have to believe that NECA makes more than this in a standard production run, so where are the rest??? Now wal Mart has closer to 5000 stores in the US and that same set up with 2 figures going to each store ( since they seem to come in boxes of 2 to the WM stores) comes to 10,000 figures made. I really would love to just get some rough numbers from NECA on how many they produce at the start, that they need to go back and make more?? |

Finally. Grabbed the Tokka and Rahzar, Metalhead, Super Shredder, Casey/Raph 2-pack, and now both Bebop/Rocksteady & Slash/Leatherhead 2-pack. Being patient has prevailed. I'm assuming April and Casey 2-packs will be the next two. Glad they are trying to make things right by doing this, even though shipping on all these suck, but I won't complain too much. Just wish I could grab them in store like the good ol' days.

Too little too late for me. NECA has fumbled too many times this year for me to give them another chance. I sold my movie Turtles, have King Kong en route to me and then that's it from them for the foreseeable future. No BTTF, no Defenders of the Earth, no new Jasons... Only way they'll win me back is if they snag The Thing license, somehow haha

So uh, I had pretty much given up hope of ever seeing NECA Turtles in a store again but my luck seemed to have changed this week. On Wednesday I went to the same Target I found the complete second wave at last year and amazingly found 3 April 2-packs.
Then today I went to a Target I never bother going to and found 1 Casey 2-pack and the Exclusive Mutagen Tour Turtle 4-Pack. Of course after how hard it became to find Turtles I decided I would only buy the characters I absolutely wanted so I don't need Metalhead, Slash, and Leatherhead. At this point I'll be content with a cartoon Splinter and Android Krang. The Karma hit immediately when my credit card refused to work no matter what because of the $200+ purchase I guess. Finally, I gave up and used a back up card which finally worked. I didn't get a message from my credit card company until I was driving home asking "Did you just try and make this purchase?" Thank you Neca!!! Would love to bundle my items but this is cool(update: no prob buying both for one ship cost of $15). It’s going to be a long future with these turtles so I hope there is some kind of guarantee for all releases....if so, I’M IN AGAIN FOR EVERYTHING!
If there is no guarantee for all releases then there could be a lot of problems. Last edited by JerpJerp; 08-28-2020 at 02:10 PM.. |

Good on Neca for evolving! This line is seriously the best line in Neca’s repertoire since Resident Evil, imho

Man, so many people complaining about pre-orders which was the main complaint in the beginning besides not being able to find these in stores. I'm stoked. I have everything and 95 percent of it was scalpers prices. I'm stoked to be able to get a second set of it all via pre-order. Don't get me wrong it's been a tough road with these figures and I've voiced my complaints about Neca but at least they are buying some good will with the fans. Not much to complain about if they are giving us what we wanted.
Btw, I just ordered the b&r and slash and Leatherhead sets with the same shipping no problem. So if there was an issue before it seems to have been resolved. |

The amount of whiplash I'm getting reading the comments and complaints from NECA turtle fans is hilarious.

Yup, damned if you do, damned if you don’t. The issue most have was with the snarky attitude neca gave the fans early on with this on their social media. Now they see the massive issues.
If I get these sets, shipping alone for neca over the last month is over $100. I haven’t spent that in shipping since mattycollector. |

If I had a significant other that was a deadbeat (albeit a deadbeat with great potential!) who swore up and down that things were gonna change and get better, eventually I'd give up on them, especially if I only saw real change at the end when I've got my bags packed and a foot put the door...

The thing that really hurts NECA the most is having a giant Tool Bag like Randy Falk associated with the company. A total A-Hole D-Bag, the continued employment by Randy Falk is a giant F U to fans.

Holy lord, in my email....my neca coupon code was finally sent to me. Maybe I will bite on those toon sets after all.
Just to add, I have been very hard on neca over the turtles. I will also give praise to them correcting the issue. Randy is the face of neca so he takes the brunt of the criticism. The fact is, most of these issues are out of his hands. Out of frustration, everyone says snarky things from time to time. Myself included. The fact is neca is making things no other company ever would, or at least not as well. I have no interest in them going anywhere. On the contrary, I want more people to be able to purchase their product. The movie turtles are in my opinion, the greatest toys ever made with respect to likeness and scale. I don’t know how you have a toy collection with out them. Everyone whom wants them should be able to purchase them without issue. I believe in redemption, and neca, with me anyways, is well on their way to that. I believe there are many great offerings yet to came from neca. Last edited by Comedian; 08-29-2020 at 10:30 AM.. |

Yeah, they've also never sent me a coupon despite me seeming to the pay the most in shipping for Super Shredder of the people on this board. I've only paid that kind of shipping for huge boxes from Japan.
