They've done a number of fantastic actor-based sculpts for their regular figures but the mego subline has particularly had poor showings in comparison.

Bob Ross has been a household staple in my family since 1985. My grandmother had all his paints and a jar of “liquid white”. When he died in 1995 it was like a member of my family passed.

I love the man. When Netflix added the series my eyes watered with memories. He was a remarkable man with an interesting story. This toy doesn’t do him justice, but it’s better than the chia pet. Kinda sad he’s been reduced to a meme joke.

Me too! The accessories are awesome! I'm not sure whether to be sad or glad that 8" is not a scale that would fit with my other figures.

Is it just me or does the hair of the figure in the first picture not match the one in the last picture or in the packaging photos?

As for easil and painting stuff, have you seen the Fine Arts van Gogh figure?

Oh wow, it looks like NECA sculpted his stumpy index finger on his left hand (he had an accident with a saw where he lost half of his left index finger). Nice attention to detail!
