What is the actual scale? They keep putting 7" in the title, but then go on to say 5.5" in the description...

I agree 100%.

Honestly, I'm getting a little sick of NECA milking their releases to this degree. Another good example are the non-stop "Ultimate" Pennywise releases. Enough already.

The figure is dope and I'll probably get it, but it is getting a bit annoying.
Deluxe, Ultra Deluxe, Ultimate... Ultra Ultimate soon? I don't know, just feels a bit ridiculous at some point.
Each time, I tell myself that I won't get the orignal basic figure from NECA, and wait for the superior version further down the line, but I realize that if everbody does the same, the line could likely fail and we might never get those superior figures, so I end up buying them anyways. But the logic behind it bothers me.

"Scale" and "Size" are two different things. It's a 7" (roughly 1/10) scale figure, but the height of the character in that scale makes him 5.5" tall. Basically he's sized to be the correct height against a 7" Figure from their other lines.

Hey man! I'm going to need you to stop being so right about everything you just said!

I really hope they release this either after Coco and Neo or the same time, but if we see this before we see any other character I will not be too happy about it.

I'm excited for Scuba Crash, but I would take villains over him all day long, and they easily could have packed the Aku Aku with anyone other than another Crash...

I hate to say it, but I'm still going to pick it up. I'm not missing my chance this time around I hate the prices that the cheap brittle ReSaurus figures have made it to.

I like this figure, I really do, but you guys took the words right out of my mouth. I had a feeling NECA would do something like this about a year ago on this very thread.

I get that companies like NECA have to reuse figure molds and make variants of the same character to help justify the cost of making new were characters, but still this is just a little annoying because there are probably a lot of collectors out there who would’ve forked over a couple extra bucks for this release first over the standard crash figure rather than wait only to have a superior figure come out later. And they’re not dumb this was probably their intent the whole time.

At least the other Crash figures (jet pack, scuba, and jet board) are different enough that it doesn’t totally unjustify purchasing this figure.

Since Neca has yet to show us any accessories except a cardboard crate and finally an Aku Aku mask, I decided to cast some old Resaurus Wumpa fruits. The four by his feet are the originals and the four in his hands are the casts I made.

I plan to get these listed on ebay since they scale so well with the Neca figures $9.99 plus shipping for a set of 4 painted Wumpas.

I have no idea how well these are selling, but I for one can't get enough of them!

I already have extra bodies I picked up from Gamestop for $5, that I plan to use all the new head sculpts with. I'm super pumped to get more characters soon, but the time between releases is painful.

I always get them when they release for my open collection, and if the price goes down far enough I pick up seconds to leave in package (I'm not going to miss out like I did with the previous Crash toys!). I currently have everything loose and on card except Scuba Crash, I only have loose at this point. I think the previous releases clogging pegs is holding up that version at retail.

They seem to be selling well enough by me. They never stay on the pegs for long.

Besides, if they sold like shit NECA wouldn't keep releasing them, right?

And there it is.

I knew this would happen. Release the same figure 5 times with different accessories and then drop the good old "Line didn’t receive support". Like, what did they think would happen?

But at least they milked the few fans that were desperate enough for more to buy 5 Crash Bandicoots

I was one of those desperate fans...

I hate that they can say "Re-Releases" of the Resaurus Crash only toys are not selling well. Just give us some variety and watch the line pick up steam.

Funny that Funko has now had 3.5 waves of Crash POP figures and even made an entire "Mystery" mini set for CTR, if the brand isn't popular I wonder why Funko keeps pumping out new Merch??

Oh well, I am glad it was Neca that made the figures I picked up, I just hate how in tune they are with their fan base, yet were so off target / out of touch for the line I was most excited about.

Pop Vinyls and Mystery Minis are far lower cost items to produce compared to fully articulated action figures. It's why they can keep pumping out licenses for those regardless of how well they actually sell. And also why the price for a Pop can remain at $10 each regardless of how few they produce.
