I think I'm going to pull the trigger on this thing. This is probably the first McFarlane figure I've purchased in a decade. Let's hope they still don't use that ultra brittle plastic that'll snap if hit by a stiff breeze.

If they announce a Sarah in ball dress figure to go with this figure right now, I'd definitely buy this figure. But with McFarlane's track record, I kind of want to wait and see. This is a nice figure on its own, but it would feel incomplete without a Sarah.

"As the World Falls Down" remain one of my favorite songs. I'm not ashamed to admit it!

I've had my Jareth for a few weeks now, and I gotta say, he's the first McFarlane figure since the Movie Maniacs Robocop that I've felt is worth the asking price. I really hope they can cover some other characters and costume variations from the movie, since the NECA figures are horrendously overpriced and, in my opinion, they look pretty awful too :P

The last couple of Color Tops I got do actually feel pretty good sturdiness-wise. It's really still the joints that worry me, they still use those awkward ratchet-hinges and on my old McFarlane figures those were easily the most common parts to break over time.

This figure looks good. I've only seen it once at a specialty store and it was marked up for some dumb reason but it still looked good.

"The hips here use a similar style to figures like their 7″ scale Negan. An odd cut with a double ball jointed peg. On Negan, that allowed for a bit of movement, for a few natural looking leg poses. Here, there’s no give, so the hips have to remain static, negating the perfectly functional knee and ankle joints."

You're not trying hard enough.

Oh I hate that style of articulation. I had a 5" Governor figure and I tried bending one of the legs at the hip to see how far it would go, and the joint popped out of the socket. What's even the point of a joint when it only allows like a couple millimeters of movement?

And that's basically a summary of everyone's beef with McFarlane. Either do action figures or mini statues, dude. Going halfway makes these inferior versions of both.

Except my pose is essentially the same as what you posted. So...Thanks for proving my point I guess.

Dude, take a closer look, I got mine more than shoulder width apart. You left yours with the legs pretty much parallel in line with the pegs on the stand. Only thing in the way is the bottom of the coat.

The difference between standing fully upright and somewhat spread is still pretty minimal in the realms of articulation.

So I ended up getting this guy. He looks absolutely fantastic in-hand. My figure had SUPER loose ankle joints, which made getting him to stand sort of a challenge. I ended up gluing his ankles and knees in place and gluing his feet to a NECA stand (I wasn't a big fan of the stand he came with). All in all it was a little annoying, but at the end of the day it wasn't a huge problem since he's not really a highly articulated figure in the first place.
