I'm thinking it's more than likely a 1/4 scale figure considering the amount of detail on the laser sight. I have the Hot Toys versions of these figures, and even those aren't as clean and detailed as that laser sight mock up. I can't imagine NECA being able to work those LEDs into a 7 inch figure without hitting some snags.

I am kind of surprised we don't see more LEDs in these kinds of toy lines. It's not that expensive, and it's way more enticing to me than sound effects. That ED-209 should have had muzzle-flashing canons instead of a crappy voicebox.

Looks pretty sweet. Should be interesting to see what all they're able to do with it. Most likely a 1/4 scale figure, but I have to admit, I would be absolutely impressed if this was for a 7" scaled figure.

Judging by the size of the piece relative to the hand holding it, I think the figure will be a foot-long. LOVE the accuracy and attention to detail. Maybe if this one is a hit, they'll do it on the smaller scale also. Last edited by Skoob; 06-17-2015 at 09:57 PM.. |

Too hard to use that notion. They could be sculpting with a different scale than what the final figure will be, like a two-up or whatever. I remember when they first showed the quarter-scale Joker it was in the form of a 12"-ish stand-in, obviously being quarter-scale the final thing is closer to 20".

huh? 1/6 figures heads aren't nearly that large.. this thing looks like it's almost the size of his palm. it's definitely a quarter scale figure.

Yeah, you're right. Time will tell. I hope for 7", but wouldn't bet on it. I was all geared up for 7" scale Midas Iron Man a couple years ago, and the product they released was 18". |

Like with DC, NECA can't do any Marvel figures unless they're quarter-scale. The Keaton Batman was a very tight loophole.

Late December now? That's a shame. Was hoping to use a couple of these as Christmas presents!

Oh man, this thing is going to be FANTASTIC. I can just picture it perching on the top of my corner cabinet. Anybody spare a little change for a poor collector? |
