that's pretty awesome.. if the smaller one looks this good, i can hardly wait to see the 24" version.

This IS the "24inch" version. It's 24inches "from head to tail". It's 12" tall. Just like the 6inch version is 12inches "from head to tail".

I get that big-G is impresively long, but they should really just stick to using their height's when distinguishing the figures. It's less confusing that way.

well.. if you read the news story.. it states that this one is the 12" head to tail version..

here it is again..

"Today NECA has released even more photos of the upcoming Godzilla 2014 12″ Head-To-Tail Figure. Standing upright, the figure measures as a 6″ tall Godzilla and features a bendable tail and over 25 points of articulation. It’s scheduled to hit stores in May."

so, again, i can't wait to see the 24" head to tail version colored.. we've only seen prototype photos of that one so far.

The larger '14 Godzilla being 12" tall still seems a bit odd to me, but I having said that, it's still going to be tempting. Even if I also get the 6" version first.
Since Toho brought '98 Godzilla into Final Wars, my affection for him (her?) has grown.

I am sad I won't have a Neca 2014 Godzilla to go with their Pacific Rim 7" figures.

Edit: I should read more closely!

My bad. I didn't bother reading the story, and assumed the Toyark staff would use it's hight measurement for the little bits below the images.

The PM in-addition to this was unnesesary.

Hmmmmm, it looks like there's some outward movement in the shoulders and hips after all.

I like this figure, but am extremely conflicted about so many things. I hate the upright, man-in-rubber-suit posture for a big budget CG spectacle. However, if this design was being used in an actual Toho man-in-rubber-suit movie, then I would be okay with the posture.

The other problem I have are those ridiculous cankles. The more I look at them, the fatter they get.

I'm going to disagree there. Godzilla is supposed to be upright regardless of being CGI or a man in a suit. That is how I like my Godzilla. If he isn't upright, he is simply not Godzilla.

I think it looks pretty good. Maybe a little smooth in some places, but overall I like it. Looking forward to getting it.

I'm extremely tempted to get one for my Mecha shelf. Probably the 6'' maybe the 12 inch. Not sure how towering I want it to be paired against the 6'' mecha model kits I have.

The 24 inch one though is damn tempting. That'd be perfect for my Halo mega bloks dio. With the New Mombasa police cruisers coming up in that line and more. It almost makes me want to make a whole future city with Spartans and stuff for the 24'' to stomp through.
