I'm sad to see this line go but it was very cool while it lasted and I do love that it's going out with class by giving us some fan-favorites at the end. I pre-ordered Raynor a while ago since he's one of my favorite characters in all of video gaming and while I personally don't dig Warcraft too much I do still think it's nice for them to do Sylvanas and Thrall since from my experience those are two of the most liked characters in those games. My only lasting gripe with this line was that we didn't get a Kerrigan figure since she's the character from Starcraft that most every gamer knows of even if they've never touched the games. I also am bummed that the teased Diablo will never get made but then again it was only ever teased as a digital work and we did get the Prime Evil Diablo from Diablo 3 so it's not a total loss unless you strictly prefer the classic design. While I personally would've loved the crap out of NECA making Tracer from HotS I acknowledge that by the time she was added to the game the NECA line was pretty much already at death's door.

Yeah, a Kerrigan figure would have been cool, but I'm just happy that I finally got a Nova figure. She was my most-wanted figure out of this entire line and NECA totally nailed her (not that way, get your mind out of the gutter!).

so what is going to happen now? no more heroes of the storm figures? i know figma is doing overwatch ones now. is the heroes of the storm line going to move to figma?

i was all prepared to get an entire SC figure collection. A Kerrigan, Zeratul etc Looking at how they did Tyrael, i thought they would do amazing with Protoss figures. Aaah, what could have been....

But if they are going figma, i am fine too. expensive though compared to Neca... and a bit small too i feel....

Apparently it was Blizzard's call to end the line. Whatever deal they have with Figma might only extend to Overwatch since so far I've yet to hear anything about any other Blizzard licenses but they have said they're doing Genji since Tracer was first announced. At this point I wouldn't want Figma to do Starcraft, looking at Tracer's pics they like to anime things up a bit and while that works for a character that already has a Pixar-esque face I don't want Starcraft characters like that.

are these articulated? i like the elf guy and no face hooded guy but those marks on the elf guy looks kinds like drax, not liking the body marks. and why is the elf guy blinded or is that removable? the no face guy reminds of the DarkSiders videogame

Both blind guy and no face guy are fully articulated.

Elf guy is blind and thus the blindfolds are not removable

Also, elf guy = Illidan Stormrage

and no face guy = Tyrael

That would be awesome. I was hoping NECA would get the Overwatch license before Figma did.

But I'm aware it's not NECA's fault, Blizzard ended the relationship.
What's that in you signature?

Tyrael is fully articulated but because of the bulk of his armor a bit of it is fairly limited. The positive in that situation though is that the articulation is almost completely hidden so it just looks a bit nicer overall as no joints visually break anything up. I guess I do see what you mean about Darksiders and it is possible that Diablo had a big influence on that game's design. Diablo is a hugely popular franchise and since Darksiders has some similar-ish themes they may have purposefully pulled some visual cues no different than Starcraft pulled cues from the Warhammer tabletops.

No problem.

There's more to Illidan's blindness, it's a bit of a Daredevil situation with him, he experiences the world around him differently. Just read up on it if you're curious.

It's part of a bonus image you can find in Metroid Fusion's gallery after beating it, it's pixelart of fictional Metroid Fusion action figure sets.

And I want them to be real!

I wonder why? If it was Blizzard's call and not NECA's, then I assume the figures must have been selling decently (unless NECA was under contract to make the figures no matter what).

Here's a quote from Randy on Twitter:

Sales aren't as strong as they need to be and we have to focus or our efforts elsewhere

Where did you hear that it was Blizzard's call to end the line? When it was first announced that the line was canceled, Randy said "We decided not to renew for a variety of reasons." - Which sounds like NECA canceled the line, not Blizzard, and that NECA made the choice not to renew the license.

Has he since said something else?

Okay that's probably my bad on that but I do remember reading a tweet along the lines of Blizzard moving on for their own reasons at some point and that might have just been in one of the many tweets responding to the possibility of NECA doing Overwatch. NECA answers so many tweets about so many different things that I do frequently get the questions and their answers mixed up. I do know that it was said multiple times that Blizzard was in charge of selecting who got made into figures so it could be that I remembered that as them being in total control of the line.
