Not only is this a great Kong, but it'll make an awesome generic ape for your other figures to fight! Or even a Gorilla Grodd, in case people missed out on the DCUC version haha

So an original design - meaning Godzilla is still the only Toho monster they make.

I mean its cool that they're doing this, but why isn't it even scaled with Godzilla? Surely Toho can’t prevent you from making a standalone Kong that happens to be as tall as Godzilla.

He'll look cool n the shelf with my Pacific Rim figures. I still feel like that is a crossover waiting to happen. Pacific Rim v Godzilla v King Kong.

The figure looks great,my only minor gripe is that I wish it included one stoic face

Isn't he as tall as 'zilla? It says 8 inches, and I know NECA calls their Godzillas 12 inches, but that includes the tail length I believe haha

It may be original but it's going for the '33 Kong look, especially with the second face there.

Yeah Neca's Godzilla are about 12" long, they're close to 7" tall, but not over. So it is a little odd. Mezco's Kong is more or less in scale with NECA's Godzillas.

Which is cool but still doesn't really stop you from making him 6" because you also sell 6" Godzilla figures.

I love that figure by the way, probably why I will pass on this one, I already have the perfect Kong for my monster shelf.

At 8" tall he's definitely too big to go with any of their Godzillas, unless you pair him with the 2' long one to go for a more classic size discrepancy.

On it's own this is a pretty solid looking Kong, I'll keep an eye on it.

They're waiting for the Ultimate release version 2 for that. This one is exclusive and won't release ANYWHERE else, so get it while you can.

Which is fine. The original King Kong is still the best. I LOVE that movie.

Yeah the Mezco Kong is pretty great, but I'm definitely getting this. Not enough Kong stuff out there so going to support it. I got the PX Kong also just to get it lol.

Nice articulation. While the one head resembled Kong 1933, the other almost looks like Kong 2017. Will set nicely with the Godzilla 2019 figure.
Now, if we could just get a Toho Kong to go with Godzilla 1962!

1933 or Jackson??? Looks cool either way. Wish it was a Toho Kong though.

It really looks more like an original take but with heavy inspiration from the classic '33 design, notably the face and overall body shape are reminiscent of the classic version. If it were Jackson's rendition then we'd basically just be looking at a scarred up version of their Luca figure from DotPotA.

Put him with the X-plus T-Rex and you'll have a reasonable '33 scene.

Surprised that they didn't also feature an Ann Darrow item. I think Kong fands would appreciate this attention to detail.

The one picture with the ruler shows he's 8" tall, so probably no. User discretion I guess, if you don't mind Kong being taller than Godzilla it might work out.

Not quite as nice looking as Mezco's Kong (which is amazing!) but I'll still get one or two- like has been said- he should have also come with a non-open mouth.

Cancelled my Marty McFly order at BBTS and ordered Kong! I dunno, as good as Marty looked (at least the '85 version), having a King Kong figure is just so much more appealing to me, and I should be more picky with my toy pickups...

I wonder if 8in is an error (like when they said CoD Ghost was 7in scale) That would be a pretty dang tall Kong... might wait to see shots in hand before ordering since I wouldn't want Thak's guards to be taller than Thak himself when in my Mezco Conan display! lol
