Take pride in knowing that Cherno Alpha fared much better than Crimson Typhoon, by order of destruction Cherno Alpha was the third best Jaeger. Cherno got tag-team surprised, Crimson just got its head torn off while there was still only one Kaiju present.

I hadn't bothered to get an Ellen Ripley yet so this two-pack will do nicely.

There's something Arnold about Ripley lol.

It's a pity I've already got two Ripleys, one standalone and the other in the 'loader since it's a pain otherwise.

I think in the end though it'll be a case of seeing if it's time to sell one once this is released.

True, there's that fact to console me...Crimson Typhoon just stood there and got it's head torn off like a goof, at least. It took way more than that to bring Cherno down.

Cool! But $10.99 shipping? I'll wait for retail.

So not only do they expect people to rebuy Ripley, but they don't even bother giving them all of the accessories the individual versions came with while charging $45? NECA can go **** themselves on this one!

Since you usually have nothing good to say, no loss with losing your business.

Two packs rarely come with all the accessories from the individual releases so I'm fine with it.

Really struggling to justify this to myself. In the UK a straight $ conversion currently comes to £36, which is seriously dear for a figure (I already have) and a half.

But to make ANY profit on it, UK sellers are actually selling it at £44. Which is just laughable.

If I buy this it will be my fourth version of that Ripley mould (2 Aliens, 1 Kenner), and even I think that might be going too far.

Looks like I'll have to wait for a sale or whatever.

While I am glad that they are re-releasing a Newt figure, I am not happy that it at does not include the helmet. The other accessories with the SDCC ex don't concern me... but without the helmet, I will not be getting this version either.

Remember, NECA had a re-release of Hicks and Hudson coming up, which will include their helmets, as well as a possible accessory/weapon pack which I believe also featured a spare helmet, so passing her up when there are options most likely on the way in the future might not be the best idea.

Frost (who's currently out now) comes with a helmet as well. He looks fine without his helmet anyway, just give it to Newt. Problem solved.

Well, this news kills any chance of my moving to the UK now that Trump's going to be president. I'll just wait out the next four years and soothe my pain with all the toys that will be cheap and easily accessible.

BTW, sorry getting your hands on our toys is such a pain in the ass for you chaps.

I came across this set at TRU today...I was tempted, but I decided to give it a pass. One tidbit about Newt that I don't think was revealed in previews is that she actually DOES come with one of her SDCC accessories...Casey the doll's head! It's in a little bag at the bottom of the box.

Overall, Newt looks great, except for her hands...did one of the Aliens bleed acid on them? Eew.

Also, I'm not really digging the new Ripley headsculpt. It's just a personal preference, but the expression they gave her is very odd (they should have gone with a mad/mean face), and her hair looks pretty bad, like a wet mop on top of her head.

Still, I'm not going to knock it too much...I still think it was swell of NECA to find a way to get Newt into the hands of those who want her.

Yay! All I need is an extra CM helmet... Hopefully in the future Aliens Accessory Pack.

Uh-oh. I hope this is just a fluke.

I already own the first version of Aliens Ripley so I can switch heads if I want.

I agree! Since I live in Canada, the SDCC exclusives are very elusive for me so... THANK YOU NECA

My Newt's hands are fine. My TRU got 5 of these in and I went through looking for the one with the best paint apps. None of them had funky hands, but some of the eyes were too low. The whites were painted on her lower lids.

I've yet to see this set in the wild, but based on the galleries I've seen online the things to look out for on Newt are: eyes, hands, lips and excessive paint wash on the face.

Hopefully they'll ship a ton of them to my local TRU. Since I'm really only in this for Newt I'm not paying that price for a single figure that's got tons of paint slop.

Yeah, I noticed that the paint wash on Newt's face varies wildly from figure to figure. Some had her face almost perfectly clean, but others looked like she just got out of a mud wrestling match.

Those two pictures I posted above are from two separate sets, so look at both of those and notice the differences.

I might consider this if I had the Loader. That way I could put the Ripley from this set in the loader and hopefully hide that lousy looking face. That head sculpt must be based on Sigourney Weaver's stunt double. :-D
