Yeah, these are looking way better. NECA is going to be sending me to the poor house this summer, I have a feeling. Thankfully, there's nothing in May I'm going to buy from them.

First I'd just like to say hands down I'm buying this figure no matter what. But now that I've go that out of the way, is it just me or does this Ultimate figure seem a little... lacking...

Don't get me wrong the detail is insane, but then again most of NECA offerings have minute to minute detail... This figure just doesn't have much else... A balloon, a boat, two hands and a couple of heads... but that's it this is supposed to be an ultimate figure.

and it's looking like the standard retail price for Ultimate figures now is just under 27 bucks so for the price it just doesn't seem to quite hit the mark. I don't mean to nitpick but I just thought I'd say it. Thoughts?

Have you seen the movie? I mean, what else should he come with? A bazooka?

The only other thing I could think of as I read that, would be a pair of spider arms, maybe. Otherwise he is pretty complete. Usually NECA would put out a couple of different versions and then later release an Ultimate that was an all-inclusive package. I suppose they just skipped the 2 or 3 releases with different heads and just went all in on 1 awesome one for a couple bucks more. I, for one, am happy with it.

In my opinion it's about right. Ultimates are usually a few heads and accessories. The standard is two heads and a half dozen accessories. Their primary purpose being that you dont have to buy three figures for several looks. Personally i'd prefer to buy all three at the lower price point as i don't display severed heads but i do display variants. As it stands i have a huge container full of heads.

I can't imagine there's enough demand for a Pennywise figure to sustain several different releases. NECA knew they had only one shot with this character.

About the only thing I can think of is a Mego style release. But I think the Tim Curry one has a better shot at happening than the Bill SkarsgĂĄrd one.

Well that's precisely my point. If this is truly everything they could have given him then maybe this design doesn't lend itself to being an ultimate figure. Maybe it's just a standard figure release. This is how I feel about a few of NECA ultimate offerings.

Just thinking out loud, If I had a say on how to make him truly Ultimate I might have also thrown in an extra deadlight mouth head sculpt or the projector head sculpt or the battle damaged spear head sculpt, a bendy waving severed arm, or a an alternate really long left arm from where he drags Georgie in the sewer and alternate monster left hand... a bazooka might be nice too

And I know it would be impossible to fit in but a Ballon Pyramid accessory or even just one extra balloon accessory that says "I Love "Derry."

I also like to think back to NECA's series 2 Hitgirl figure from KA2. That thing was packed with two head sculpts, an extra pair of hands, two pistols, 6 throwing daggers and a double-bladed staff weapon that could separate into two single blade short-staffs. All that and it was just a standard release with a standard release price point (not even deluxe release price point.)

Again, it's all great stuff and like I said I'm still buying it when it comes out, but I just want it to feel more ultimate you know?

Maybe they can make the figures of the children and give them the otherwise desired accessories. The spear damaged head for him could come with Beverly, the spider arms with mike, the longer left arm with Georgie, etc.

Randy recently said on Twitter that they don't plan on making the kids. Just Pennywise.

I'm new to all of this, but I love the look of this figure.
When is it going to be available?
I have seen June 30th and Oct.
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you.

Welcome aboard!

The 2017 Pennywise starts to ship to retailers at the end of this week. It should be available from retailers within the next two weeks or so.

The 1990 Pennywise is expected to be released in August.

Man I cannot wait to pick these up, I agree as an ultimate figure it could have come with a bloody limb or something else, but I'm not complaining, a bloody limb is insanely easy to customize.

I almost ordered. But, for 3 of them shipping was $26. I'll wait the 3 weeks until BBTS gets them. Man, my TRU has been closed for less than 24 hours and I'm already feeling the loss. They use to get NECA up on their site so fast.
