Has anyone bought or even seen the Target Dawn of the Planet of the Apes Bluray w/NECA Ape Soldier? I ordered the set online, but it has not arrived yet. I went to Target Tuesday, and they had no sets on the shelves. I have not seen anyone online actually receiving the set.

You won't find it on shelves, apparently it was an online only offer. Didn't the movie just come out on regular dvd/bluray release though, in which case it may be possible that Target has to sort through and process the bundles.

My preorder is scheduled to arrive between December 8-10, so I will see I guess. A few people preordered the set and received only the Blu-ray, and tweeted NECA. NECA/Randy Falk replied twitter stated that they did in fact supply them to Target months ago, so it is not as though the item is canceled. The bundle was removed from Target.com a few days ago. Time will tell.

I just received my preorder but only the movie was in the package, no figure...WTF? And nothing on it explains why or if it would arrive separately. I definitely ordered the set with free figure. This happen to anyone else?

I've seen a few more people complain that they did not receive a figure across the web, an no instances of someone actually receiving it. No one has listed the set on eBay, no one reviewing it online, no one "unboxing" on YouTube. Hopefully this issue gets more attention as more people do not get what was advertised. If these were produced and are sitting in boxes, target should be able to make it right.

Someone on Twitter posted that they just got their ape soldier and that it shipped separately from the movie itself, so now you play the waiting game.

Indeed, I came home late last night, and there was a (weirdly) large box waiting for me, with my Gorilla Soldier inside. Perfect card, excellent paint, I love this thing. $19.99 for a new Blu-ray and a complete NECA figure, it sounds too good to be true. And it seemed for a few days that it was.

I'm disappointed that I missed out on such an awesome deal

I had no idea that it was an online exclusive, and as I like to see my NECA figures in person before I purchase them, I figured I'd just stop by a local Target and pick up the figure and Blu-Ray.
I was so disappointed when I got to Target last Tuesday and there were no figures displayed with the Blu-Rays.

They should have done better at clarifying this was an online only deal. I might just be really lucky, but having had no problems with any NECA stuff I have no hesitance ordering online. Besides, so far as I can tell the only thing exclusive about this set is the packaging, if I'm right then it's not too bad if it goes missed.

It was not clear at all that it was a web exclusive. I almost waited to get it in store anyway, so I could l could look over the paint. But I figured it would be popular and I wanted to ensure I would get one. Then discs start getting delivered alone, with no mention of the figure. And the listing gets taken down. If they would have just bundled them before shipping or put in a note that the other item was shipping separately they would have saved themselves hundreds of customer service calls. This being the first NECA/target deal, I'm not sure they knew what they had. I would have said this was a good deal at $29.99, $19.99 is less than some stores had the movie for.

BBTS has DotPotA series 2 now and they broke down the case. Even though Luca is short packed in the case, it is available to order separate from Caesar and Koba.

I agree. It scored fairly big at the box office, largely due to fan enthusiasm for another Alien movie, but the biggest problem IMO was the fact that it deviated too far from fan expectations. I am more than a bit confused as to why NECA is putting off a 7" Taylor. I've been impressed with all the apes, haven't gotten any due to other figures taking higher demand, but it's not like they can't make a Taylor.
