As I said in the Crash thread, I'm getting a little sick of NECA milking their releases to this degree.
I’ll hold my breath until after it’s officially unveiled at toy fair 2019. I had a few issues with the first release mainly because it’s a very inaccurate figure compared to what we got in the film especially since that one was supposed to be a “ultimate figure.”

As long as this figure comes with opened shirukens, a better looking/ more accurate unmasked head sculpt, the military machine gun, and film accurate forearm gauntlets including the removable device on the left forearm gauntlet, then I’ll be OK.

As it stands though, if it’s anything like the “Ultimate” Emissary Predator #1 they revealed, this “Lab Escape” Fugitive predator will probably only come with (maybe) a light up head sculpt, the same unmasked head sculpt, (maybe) a mask accessory, another pair of alternate hands, and that’s it. Oh, and They’ll call it an Ultra Deluxe Ultimate figure because of the (maybe) lights and give it a $30 price tag.

But who am I kidding, regardless of what’s revealed I’ll still buy it because I love Predators and I’m a completist so…

Well, I actually consider the lab escape scene to be the best part of the movie, so I'm actually curious for this figure. It does make me glad I waited before getting anything though.

Has anyone noticed the prices on both the Emmisary #2 and the Lab Fugitive were priced at 31.99 on BBTS? They usually carry them at retail or lower.

I'm hoping this isn't a sign that yet another price spike is coming, because it's already pricey at 27.99 (if you find them at Target) and at 31.99...it is getting out of hand, especially when the previous Emmisary and Fugitive figures were priced lower and came with either the same amount or more accessories than the upcoming ones.

BBTS has been higher than many other sites lately for NECA stuff. Usually at least $2 more. There's preorders for these figures on other sites at $6 or $7 lower.

It's a strange look from them, as I was able to get the VG AVP, Predator 2018 and Dark Horse waves for either at retail or cheaper than finding them locally. Same with the Gremlins and the Ultimate Alien releases. These two are the first I've seen marked up so high from them sparking me to wonder a bit.

I'll be checking out other etailers if this is gonna be their price point going forward.

Aside from a closed mandible head, I totally called the accessories for this figure and the price tag. It’s actually quite sad. On NECA’s Twitter you’ll have fans writing that NECA figures are such an unbeatable value and that they would be willing to pay more if they were priced higher... well now those fans are getting their wish.

I’ve seriously had to cut back the amount of figures I buy because of the recent price hikes. At this point the Ultimate title is just an excuse to bump up the price up because you are certainly not getting the definitive version of the character anymore. If it meant the price tag could be lowered a bit I’d say do without the Ultimate styles boxes in favor of simpler packaging.

NECA makes detailed figures and I will buy this especially if I see it for a good deal, but NEVER this for $31.99 especially for a figure this size and with less to offer.

Hopefully the new Michael, Roy, and Pennywise still being $26.99 on BBTS are counter-examples to a price-rise and not just the last of the current price.

From what I've seen NECA's new cardboard peg hooks are a total fail. Almost every single one I've seen at retail are bent and/or tearing off of the package. That's a shame.

I don't really want to buy a 2nd figure from a meh film, but the light up helmet is pretty cool.

Neca has totally killed the ultimate line with all these useless figures.
They reuse the same mold 4 or 5 times per figures (It 2017, gremlins, now Predator 2018)

How can they do an ultimate of this and the emissaries and say on twitter that an Ultimate Robocop can't happen without the likeness.

There's really no point in doing another NECA Robocop without Weller's likeness though. Otherwise, might as well just get the MAFEX one.

I've always considered the Robocop 3 figure to be the "Ultimate" version of the character, since it came with the auto 9, cobra assault rifle, gun arm attachment, and flight pack. It also featured the leg holster. The only thing missing was the data spike, but if you had any of the previous figures, those would fit easily on that version since the figure was essentially the same as past versions.

I'd want their Ultimate Robocop to mainly be specific to each movie (since the colors vary by film a bit). In essence, rip off what Medicom did with their Robocop releases and add a full unmasked head. But Weller's complete unwillingness to work with anything Robocop these days just kills the chance of it. He even refused a single interview for the upcoming massive Robocop Documentary, where they have just about every living person who worked on the film series.

I said Robocop but it was just one of many example as I saw a twitter message asking for it.
Just saying who need an almost nude predator and the emissaries "in the ultimate line". I'm not against the the idea but in standard release.

What is "Ultimate" in these figures?

Weller's a total kook these days. The guy's been that way ever since he earned his Ph.D in Italian Renaissance art or whatever that bullshit was.
