I don't know about the rest of you guys…although these figures are very well done, I am absolutely hating this new Series 15, and definitely will NOT buy it. Why? Not only do all 3 figures look almost exactly alike, but they also bare a striking resemblance to Series 14 (in stores now). In the past, we have always been given a new series where all three figures look almost completely different…different body types, noticeably different outfits/armor, different colored paint jobs, completely different weapons, etc, etc. Just go back and look at all the series and you'll see they always looked very different. Not so with this series. The differences are so subtle they are almost unnoticeable. They could have at least painted the bodies different colors. Anyway, I guess I'll have to wait and see what they do with Series 16 because this one is lame. I can only assume this series was very cheap to produce for NECA since it didn't entail 3 completely different Predators. Series 15 has NO variety at all…they all look the same. Booooo! Hissssss!
As a complete NECA fanboy, I agree that series 15 looks completely passable for me. Series 16 on the other hand looks incredibly promising, more Kenner preds! Welcome to the Ark.

I do think I'll get one more, probably the one with the skull trophies.
While Chopper is a complete waste of space, I do recall Celtic killing a few humans and at least he fought Grid rather than be assassinated.

Yeah, he killed an unarmed scientist, running away! That's like 0 predator points.

They weren't unarmed scientists they were rent-a-cops security or some shit, they're worth half a point at least! Plus Celtic killed Maxwell (the black guy) with his net launcher and spear so that's one point. So Celtic dies with 1.75 points (I'll grant a fourth of a point for fighting Grid and actually wounding it). Chopper dies with no confirmed points (maybe we can grant him a .5 for killing some of the rent-a-cops on the surface). Scar scores a shit ton more than them but still loses a lot of points for acting like an idiot (seriously why wouldn't he just activate his bomb immediately after getting face-raped, he knew he was gonna die then anyway and that bomb would've taken out the entire temple and the queen before she made her escape) and then having that dumb face with those non-threatening human eyes.

I think the hugger removes the memory of the face mounting. None of the humans seem to remember being implanted. I do think if I were a predator I'd go with two shoulder cannons, and a shit load of those lazer net shirkins from AVPR. Plus maybe a giant bomb that isn't attached to your wrist.

Thank you! I haven't heard anything about Series 16 yet. Do we have any pics? If not, what are they planning?

Yeah but the humans don't know what they are, you'd figure the super-alien-hunters who set all this stuff up would know what happens when you get face-hugged. When he woke up from it did he act like "oh hey there's a facehugger on the ground dead next to me with no wounds, clearly that got someone else even though I was just unconscious. Okay time to get back to killing."

Looking forward to Masked Scar in this wave, but bring on the next Kenner one! That Clan Leader is incredible-looking. It'll be nice to finally see what this new body can do when it's being used on fresh Preds other than the AvP ones, as all of those guys look pretty identical in terms of armor and coloring.

Really looking forward to a full reveal for the new Jungle and City Hunters using this body. I mean, the originals were awesome enough as it was.

The ultimate Jungle and City Hunter figures won't be on this body, they'll be on a new version of their own bodies. The articulation should match these AVP bodies but they won't be the same thing like how Kenner Leader is just the same base body as these.

Oh...so, NECA will just be re-tooling the original Jungle/City Hunter mold, similar to how they re-tooled the T-800 mold for their recent Ultimate T2 release? Exact same molds and whatnot, but added articulation/gadgets/accessories?

Hmm...I guess I'll have to take a wait and see approach, then, and see just how much they're upgraded compared to the originals. I'd hate for all the effort I put into finding a decently-priced City Hunter on Ebay to have been in vain.

We've seen a preview of the updated City Hunter already.

Yeah, I saw that pic. But is that really a re-tooled version of the original and not the new buck? I mean, I see an ab joint and double-jointed elbows! That's quite an extensive upgrade over the original. But I'm not really familiar with how hard it is to go back to a buck and add articulation where it was previously lacking as opposed to starting over from scratch.

I think the legs and maybe the head are the only parts of the body they're keeping from before (ignoring armor), the chest and arms are clearly new. What I meant when I said "their own bodies" was that the predators in AVP had a drastically different approach to the way their bodies looked. The original predators were clearly strong with developed musculature but they also had generally smooth contours that gave them a fitting acrobatic vibe so it looked right when you saw them jumping, climbing, and crawling around their environments. The AVP predators are just bulging muscles, they lack that finesse the originals had. So if you took an AVP body and armored it up as the Jungle Hunter it wouldn't look right besides being inaccurate to the film.

True. So, they're re-using what they can and upgrading the rest with new parts. That's cool.

In essence it is very similar as you were saying to how they upgraded the T-800 for its ultimate figure.

The lack of continuity on the netting where the torso joint is bugs me, it's not terrible but it hurts the look. I really hope the Ultimate figures for the first two movies handle this better because messing with the look was the main reason I didn't want them to add torso articulation.

I hope they handle the wristblades on the Ultimates the way they do with these AVP figures. The wristblades have been a big source of concern throughout the line and the AVP figures making them completely removable pieces provided the toughest blades yet. Handling it similarly would also allow them to include not only the fully retracted blades but also Jungle Hunter could come with his spread blades from when he pinned Dutch to the log for like two seconds.

I'll pick up Masked Scar, and probably give the rest of this wave a pass.

Isn't it odd that the two ancient Predators in wave 15 - dudes from what I believe were from hundreds (thousands?) of years ago in the movie - have the exact same armor and weapons as the modern Scar? Guess Predator tech advancement has kinda ground to a halt, huh?

BTW, anyone know when the Concrete Jungle Predator (Scarface) is due out?

I've always wondered if that was a legit ability of his wrist blades or just a thing the filmmakers did so the blades would fit around Arnold's noggin and they hoped the audience wouldn't notice.

You can tell looking at this screencap that the effect was deliberate and even had some design behind it. I suppose the only in-universe explanation would be that this feature is just used to pin prey without immediately harming them. The main weakness of the predators is definitely their arrogance and overconfidence, if he really wanted Jungle Hunter could've killed Dutch at several different points throughout their final fight but instead he toys with him such as the nonlethal pin.
