Think I'll stick with the First Gokin Cerebral. I love me some solid diecast parts and the light-up Krang torso.

That's exciting! They're really going for it with this line, this must be one of the most successful things they've done.

I've heard rumors from very trusted insiders that Neca has been working on this line 24/7, and they literally have almost every figure from the cartoon in prototype form, and they are just making them in waves as needed. They have dozens of figures just waiting for the green light.

So exciting! I heard rumors that this may be part of the “Turtles in Time” wave, so I’m not sure it’s actually a toon related figure, yet. No doubt we’ll get a couple versions.
I think this news should be in a new thread Joe😉

They have a dedicated team working on only TMNT toon figures. Trevor Zammit is the sculptor in charge of the line, and that's all he was re-hired to work on. Randy has said every character from the toon is fair game, so that's not surprising.

Surprising, no. But exciting. It means Neca is putting their full attention to the line, so it'll be like Aliens or Predator with tons of support for years, and not something that will be abandoned quickly. As long as the fandom throw money at Target and Neca, we'll be getting the love returned to us.

They will probably have multiple versions, correct. The pixelated game deco comicshop line, and the Target exclusive cartoon one.

What’s the deal with the “scaffolding” on the bottom of the parts?

The "scaffolding" is just the mold process that holds the main piece when it is being poured molded, etc.

I'm almost certain all that is from 3D printing the pieces. It's amazing how great quality you can 3D print now. These are probably the prototypes before they go and make the molds.

I missed First Gokin Cerebral so I'm stoked to see what NECA does for Krang. But really, anything they make I'm probably buying.

100% 3d printing. You can tell because the ends of support sharpen to a point and there are many supports rather than just a few sprews. I am almost certain these are done with a Resin 3d printer. Resin 3d printing has incredible detail and lacks the layer lines of traditional 3d printing. Consumer resin printers are relatively cheap i personally have a anycubic photon and it's great for making accessories.

As a side note; being 3d printed doesnt mean these are not hand sculpted. They may be sculpted using software or they could be sculpted in wax then 3d scanned with resin copies being printed thereafter.

What drives me nuts is that I can do this stuff on my dinky resin 3D printer, but somehow major companies still do crap like make heads on action figures too small/large.

How hard is it to print a few test pieces to get the size of it right?

Answer: Not hard at all because I do it all the time.

Also, yes, those are resin 3D printed pieces, that thing they're resting on is probably the build plate too.

There's a "Shredder vs. Krang in Bubble Walker" 2-pack listed at my local retailer.

No details on differences in the paintjob to the previous releases or the accessory count.

On Twitter, Randy said they are straight re-releases. Just packaged together.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised if there are some minor paint alterations.

This month. Believe me, when they say something on Facebook or it’s seen in the wilds, this board will know.
