The lack of pants really messes with the look, did they just give up designing him halfway through? Still looks neat though, will probably pick up

That's quite an interesting turn. More traditional approach for the previous figures then this more actiony, almost Hugh Jackman-esque approach.

If you click the image on front page into the story, and then click the image again, it will load a bigger version of it. There you can see he has no pants.

Yeah, now that I see it, the figure looks great but the lack of pants is a little odd.

The lack of pants is probably due to reuse(possible) and not wanting to have him look like some guy with a rat head. The turtles have more elements to play up their turtleness and two of them have exposed legs.
Maybe splinter goes from the dress approach.

Looks kind of odd like they just slapped Splinter's head and legs on another body. The arms are pretty long and big.
