Wow, some really unexpected stuff! Finishing the TF2 line (I want the Medic) and DC crossover packs. Since they're based on comics not film I'm not sure how I feel about the cloth capes but it's not a deal-breaker. Broken Tusk is looking awesomely faithful and ideally they'll reveal a swap-off head before release.

That Armored Batman figure has been on my wishlist since I read the Batman Verses Predator comics several years ago. This is the most exciting reveal so far in my opinion.

Superman looks amazing. I guess they will be doing all the old Batman figures from the late 80s and 90s

Not really... the only reason they can get away with doing these is because they're in multi-packs with franchises they already have the rights to. And the only reason they can do the movie figures is because they're """"part of a promotion with selling the DVDs"""" that's exclusive to TRU, and although many TRUs don't really enforce that promotion, that's still the only reason they were able to do them. Though I didn't really notice any mentions of these latest two (Bale Batman and AC Harley) being part of a promotion... has that changed now? Still, they're part of a special deal, and NECA probably won't be able to do any DC figures that aren't tied to either another franchise or a promotion.

The movie/ figure deals weren't tru exclusive. They were also available through the Warner bros and go Hastings eBay stores.

The Batman and Superman look great and I'm glad NECA uses cloth/fabric capes for them.

I believe Randy said that TRU requested those as exclusives without the need for DVD promotion.

Hello

I have been a longtime visitor of this amazing website! Just wanted to first say a thank you for whoever is maintaining it! You are awesome!

So I signed up today because I wanted to ask if anyone knows when the Heroes of the Storm figures are shipping? I noticed that Sylvanas figure does not have a release time frame while Raynor has one. But I have seen a 2-pack of the figures for pre-order. Does that mean that both figures will be released simultaneously? Or is it better to purchase them separately because the Sylvanas one will be released before?

I never got the Series 2 figures and only have Nova. So I don't know how it worked with those two waves. If anyone has info and would share it, I greatly appreciate it!

Ditto. That's the highlight for me thus far. I wish it wasn't quite so ridiculous-muscled, but this is close enough to the original Kubert visualization that I'm happy.

The regular-costume-version of Batman goes too far with the exaggerated muscles and huge ears for my taste. I loved the comic; I 'want to want it,' but... No. I'm still hoping for something more realistic.

Thanks to our hosts for these terrific photos!

I'm so getting all of those 1/4 scale movie turtles. If I have to sell a few organs so what :P. Oh and that Ashly Slashy Puppet very tempted to get that as I loved that part in that episode.

The card in front of Raynor is for both of them as they are both series 3. They are set to release pretty soon apparently (going off of NECA's Twitter feed discussions). The pre-order you saw wasn't for a two pack but just for the set, so you get one individual Raynor and one individual Sylvanas (no different than finding both at retail). Each wave so far is just two figures released simultaneously so this one should follow the pattern. We're also apparently going to get another deluxe figure (of Diablo) at some point but that's not relevant to the release of these normal figures.

Actually, the muscular physique is spot on to the Ariel Olivetti artwork from the Batman/Superman vs Aliens/Predator comic. And it seems as if Neca is pulling from different crossover iterations so the color scheme is Kubert-inspired, head sculpt seems to be based on the Bernie Wrightson artwork and the physique is Olivetti.

Neca Alien club sounds awful in terms of, there are figures fans cannot access kind of like Mattel DCU and MOTU memberships.

Thank you so much!! I ended up ordering the both together

I am mainly going for the StarCraft characters. But, I decided to pick up Sylvanas too in this wave because she was my favorite champ when I played Heroes of the Storm back in the beta stages.

NECA has been doing some pretty nice figures though for the price.

I have yet to get any HotS figures because I'm really just a Starcraft fan and I don't like Nova because she really doesn't do anything. I'll get Jim and my fingers are still crossed for Kerrigan and Tassadar (any Protoss would be fine). Probably the top of my list though is Tracer, while a dedicated Overwatch line would be preferred she is in HotS so they could release her under that line.

NECA's doing plenty of movie figures. Even with the new reveals at Toyfair the majority of their stuff is movie-related.

Well, you probably didn't miss too much without Nova. She is a decent figure, but very hard to get into a good pose. I got her because I wanted a Ghost figure. I figure they will probably go for infested Kerrigan, and not a Ghost version.

The toss could really look cool. I saw the reviews for the NECA Diablo Tyrael which had a color scheme similar to toss. They seemed to have done a good job with that. So I am hoping to get them too

Oh and overwatch would be nice too ! Tracer, Widowmaker (if they would add her), .... well, will need to save up if they do lol

Yah, I think you nailed it. Initial gut reaction to a particular artist has caused me to skip over many otherwise very good stories. I'm kind of narrow in that regard, but it generally minimizes Buyer's Remorse and saves me money.

P.S. @ DDarko: Welcome to the Ark.

I could see them doing a Ghost Kerrigan as like an exclusive or something but yeah Zerg Kerrigan all the way. One of Nova's skins is Ghost Kerrigan so it still technically works under the HotS line. Anyway, yeah, Kerrigan with articulated wings would be fantastic and she wouldn't even have to be a deluxe or anything because she's fairly small/normal sized on her own and her "wings" are just a skeleton frame.

I thought Nova was excellent personally, though she kind of suffered from the characters look compared to the more visually stunning Arthas, Illidan and Tyrael. I found the others quite hard to get into a dynamic looking pose, Illidan in particular tended to look like he was just awkwardly standing there showing his glaives to someone. Overall I think Arthas was probably the best, with Nova and Illidan second and Tyrael a close third.

This is only half of 2017. To be honest, I collect most of my NECA figures between June-December. The stuff they show at Toy Fair is fantastic, but it's not really the NECA I collect. Come SDCC, that's when they really shine. July may see some TMNT 7" figure exclusives, Fall is when all the new horror stuff ships and maybe another TMNT exclusive, December maybe some movie DC surprises, and they'll pepper in MEGO and 8 Bit along the way. I'm sure there is much more to come.

Didn't meant to say the figure was bad Its just that I had a hard time getting her other hand to reach across and touch her gun lol. I've seen the suggestion for using a rubber band but I wasn't too comfortable doing it because her elbow joints were very small, and was afraid I might break it due to strain.

But yes, you made me reconsider my previous comment. It probably made it seem like she was totally not worth it. Attached a photo of my Nova figure to make amends lol

I simply LOVE NECA's dioramas. I'd buy this one in a second:

The AvP pillars blend so well with this environment. Glad I pre-ordered two

Also, at long last, love this teaser of Broken Tusk (must not be final product) at the bottom left... All he needs is Machiko to stand by him.
