Who's to say they actually lost money during COVID? Some products like Lego have actually seen an increase in sales because people had extra money from not traveling or doing other things during lockdown. Feels like the gas stations jacking up prices after the pipeline was hacked, except supply was really not hampered for very long at all, if you know the facts of it. But they feel people won't know the difference. Show me where your sales have dropped, NECA.

These are already on ebay (of course). Shockingly, the MacReadys are all under $100 so far. Still a rip-off, but at least it's not going for day-one Major Bludd money.

My Target has Macready slated to come on the truck June 1st, but the NECA rep (nice person!) says they won't be put out til the 3rd or 4th when she's at that store.

... What are the chances I can just get some rando Target employee to get one from the back for me haha

That said, I took the plunge and bought a MacReady off of EvilBay for a shockingly reasonable price (under $70). I can normally wait, but not for a fucking Mac figure. I need it yesterday.

Honestly, I've never seen NECA reveal a figure and then release it as quickly as they did with MacReady. I originally assumed he was many months away, if not a year or more. It's like we're in bizarro world all of a sudden where NECA releases things in a timely manner.

I'm not sure of the exact timeline, but it's a fact that he'll eventually be available at full retail once the Father's Day Target-exclusivity ends.

Why are you paying scalper prices for McCready?? These aren't store exclusives. Target and Walmart just get to sell them first. BBTS and other online sites will be selling these later this summer just like they did with the Defenders of Earth figures

NECA delivering so much stuff to shelves is even crazier when you consider all the shipping delays. MacReady was probably already sitting on a boat off the US coast by the time they put all the promo pics out and did the full announcement.

Yeah, they actually sent me the Mac about a week after posting the promo pics. Unlike most of their reveals, the promo pics were of the final figure as opposed to the hand painted prototype. But this was embargoed until Father's Day weekend when I got it. However, once they popped up in stores, I had to scramble to shoot the gallery. Same thing happened with that Kong and Creature set.
