Be honest; how difficult was it for you to keep quiet about having Mac in hand and posting some awesome pics?

I went by my local Target and they had both King Kong versions.
The boxes look cool, but they do a terrible job of letting you know what's in the box.
The creatures are not predominantly featured on the box for the Skull Island Kong.
The shackles and the biplane are not predominantly featured on the box for the New York Kong.
If you open the box and look inside you see the same King Kong figure in both with the included accessories hidden behind him.
I can really see someone who has not looked at these two offerings on the internet becoming very confused.
I can use the Mezco Kong's chains on my NECA Kong and and I don't think the biplane looks that good -I imagine I can just get a relatively in scale biplane from somewhere else.
I bought the Skull Island Kong.

I think NECA made the biplane way too small, it implies that if they ever did an Ann for Kong to hold she'd be the size of a tic-tac. Granted a proper sized biplane relative to 20' Kong would be pretty sizable and drive the price of the set way up.

Crap never thought of that.

That's like right when he grabs the plane, it's almost the size of Kong's body.

I think a lot of people have the same thoughts.
I literally just went by the same Target and all of the Skull Island King Kongs are gone.
There were about 3 of the New York Kongs and 4 of the Illustrated King Kongs -I imagine that one is a tough sell.

its just weird that every target around here has these out but not a single Walmart has been seen with any of their temporary exclusives. think they would all hit at the same time.

Was able to score me the BTTF 2 Doc figure at my Target the other day. Hoping I might see the Homelander and Starlight figures pop up at one of my Walmarts soon. Some people have been spotting them at their Walmarts early as well.

And of course Macready sold out almost immediately. Between him and the Target exclusive Clone Wars figures, I'm beginning to despise Target.

Then why was NECA advertising these in a Target ad?

And when is Walmart supposed to be selling them then?

Not supposed to be until Father's Day weekend. It'll be the Monster, The Boys figures, and the animated Batman grapple-gun prop. Technically Target wasn't supposed to start selling MacReady, 2015 Doc Brown, or the two Kongs until the same time but evidently they changed their stance on that timing.

They weren't. It was a 2 page/image ad. First had the Target exclusives and the second had the Walmart ones.

Ah, I only saw the picture that combined them, did not realize they were different exclusives. That explains it, but that also means I'll have to wait until the monster is sold at Target since only half of my Walmarts sell NECA stuff and those that do haven't had anything new in months.
