Need help with iron man prototype name

Hi
I need some help with this iron man prototype , i got this of ebay and i just need some info on it , first i think it's a new concept figure and it has the feet of a ground assault drone , it looks like a new concept drone or a battle armor wipelash maybe. i'm abit lost on this one ...any ideas

all these prototypes make me jealous and nervous; Those giant Iron Man suit prototypes from a few posts back, this figure, there are a ton of sweet Iron Man figures just waiting to be released but the momentum of the movie has died down to the point that I wonder if these are ever going to get produced? So much Iron Man peg warming going on right now and with Thor and Captain America figures needing shelf space then maybe we wont get to see these? I hope we do, I really want these figs but do not want to pay the prices I've seen the prototypes go for.

Just to let you know on the 24th of april the wave of 6inch action figures contsisting of: ironman mark V black and gold (main frame armour), iron man stealth armour, crimson dynamo and war machine initative will be realsed in to stores

So, looking through some of the Ebay Iron Man prototypes from this seller eBay My World - toyssir8982009 I'm seeing some figures i was unaware they were going to release in 4". Namely what looks like a Heavy Artillery figure Iron Man 2 iron man prototype...... - eBay (item 250790956897 end time Apr-18-11 10:17:00 PDT)
I aint paying $100 for it but it looks like there are some new sculpts waiting for production.

I saw that heavy artillery prototype looks cool I love the 6 inch figure and have every incarnation of the mold. So this would be a great addition to my collection.

Did anyone make it to Toyfare this year? And if so, did anyone see if they were releasing the Whiplash or iron man mecha suits?

Do you mean these suits?

If so, there was no announcement at Toy Fair 2011 about these that I'm aware of. I believe the only thing we've seen or heard about them so far is that auction for the prototypes.

As for Whiplash, I'm not sure what you mean. If you're asking about Whiplash's Comic Series version, it was available online, but no U.S. b&m sightings yet. If you mean his suit at the end of IM2, I think it was announced, but has not been released yet.

Yup, those are the mech suits I was hoping to hear about (looks like the seller dropped the price by $50). And the Whiplash figure I was wondering about is the prototype at the start of this thread. Uuuuugh... I am getting itchy for new Iron Man stuff, tired of repaints. Thanks for the info!
Oh yeah, I actually got 2 of those comic Whiplash figs at a local store, my girlfriend found those as well as the Ultimate Iron Man from that wave but there was no sign of the Mandarin or the Modern Warmachine figs. No sign of a restock since then either and that was several months ago.

It’s only taken 13 years, but this Iron Man 2 Whiplash Mark II prototype has finally surfaced in painted sample form.

It was reportedly stumbled upon in a Hong Kong shop marked as a sample toy (with no accessories and missing the original shoulder armour).

This was news to the Marvel Universe 3.75 Collectors Facebook group where it was shared.

As far as we know, this is the only painted sample to come to light.

Sharing it here it to continue the story, as it was this thread/photo that helped identify what this new discovery was.

Also wondering if the OP or anyone here (if still around) had heard anything more about this figure in the intervening years.

Marvel Universe and associated lines may be long over, but they can still yield some surprises.
