Need some help with a Gotham 5 Pack...

Hey what's up Guys...

I went to a Walmart on long island in New York... and was trying to find some DC Universe Figures, when I stumbled upon a clearance Aisle with the Gotham 5 Pack, In it to my surprise was not Lex Luthor, But what seemed to be the head of Red Tornado on the Body of Captain Adam. The box was not in the greatest condition, When I first looked at it I thought it was some special Lex Luthor Figure but when I got home and did some homework I realized there is nothing anywhere about this figure...I have no Idea what is going on here. I am thinking maybe it is an error on Mattel's part. Other than that someone tampered with it...But if they did Tamper with it..Why the head of Red Tornado and the Body of Captain Adam...Who would go thru all that work...I would love to hear some input from you guys on this...I am sitting here completely baffeled...All I wanted was that Luther Figure in that package and its the one that is missing..Go Figure...

Definite re-pack. Someone bought it, took out Lex Luthor, and replaced him with the figure you are now the proud owner of. Unfortunately, this crap happens all the time. You really need to be on the lookout for stuff like this. Some asses even try to sell them on eBay as variants or factory errors.

you have to be kidding me...someone would go to all that trouble to put red tornados head on that body??? why didnt they just keep the same head..lol..Unreal..Thanks alot guys....I appreciate your input...

The guy was most likely a customizer and must have needed the Captain Atom head but not the body, vice versa for Red Tornado, and combined the pieces to have something to fill the spot.

Which is even worse than using a plain figure alone.

good points...well thanks guys...I still like the other four figures so i am just going to keep the pack...got it on a clearance price anyway...i will get the luthor figure down the line...or the whole proper gotham pack in good condition...by some miracle..lol

Repackers suck! Even worse is that employees either don't care or don't know any better so they take back anything. It's never going to end.

By the way which LI Walmart location did you find that at?

I live in Queens but I shop out in LI all of the time.

Is that $54.88 clearance price correct? I thought that was what they were regularly going for.

I still haven't picked up this set. I really want that Lew Luthor along with the Superman figure and possibly the Batman one as well. I really want Catwoman and Two Face figures, but not in those colors. I prefer the black Catwoman and the black & white Two Face.

It was the walmart in Uniondale..they had not one figure out...I walked down a clearence Aisle and there it was..all banged up...I did pay 34 for it...So i dont mind...But they had nothing as far as any waves on the shelfs not even a cyborg staring at me..there is a Guy going around swooping everything up..thats what a clerk told me in 2 stores..He gets info from someone and he is there buying it all up...well all the good ones...He must have no job..lol...I made a run on sunday...Farmingdale,Massapequa, and uniondale ...nothing good...Massapequa had the black superman...Cyborg..I grabbed the defender at a target in in westbury too earlier in the week..but thats all they had and a crusty captain cold!! lol
