It doesn't look like the actor. It's their 2nd chance and it looks nothing like the actor.
They can have as detailed a body sculpt as they want but they keep missing the faces.

It feels like Todd heard people complaining about Cavil's eyes being too small, so he over compensated with Geralt.

Also what is up with the sheath on his back? The Wild Hunt/game version had the same problem, but it was less noticeable. This is just out there. No way to secure that cape enough to cover it up either.

I knew this was going to be hit or miss, and I'm trying to not complain about figures I won't buy. It could have been better is all, especially at the price.

The other two look decent enough though.

Actually, having the scabbard half-way open like that is about the only way to realistically sheathe a sword on your back.

It looks like once again something as simple as an alt head is going to come with a separate figure that uses the exact same body.

But as pointed out. Geralt has upper thigh swivels. The world didn't fall apart(maybe) and the sculpt isn't absolutely destroyed by the figure just having an upper thigh cut.

Unless that is just some very weird sculpted in seam line.

Well at least there is a monster. I'll buy whatever monsters they make, don't even have to be accurate at all.

To be fair, in today's market of overpriced figures and statues, they are also cheap. Which toy company manages to sell 6-7 inch figures for around 20 bucks these days? And even their euro converted price stays quite fair (unlike Hasbro for example that for some reason charges much more in euro than in dollar). Todd has some principles and opinions I don't agree with and not all of his figures are a success as far as I'm concerned, although he has managed to bring some nice surprises as well, but the price is one thing I can't complain too much about. I wish all action figures were as affordable. As for these particular figs, I'm not too big a fan of the Netflix adaption anyway as it's strays too far away from the game characters for me (blackwashed Triss... Aaaaaaaaargh... that was enough to turn me off) and the excuse that this is based on the books is a bogus one.

I hear you! I'm not a big fan of the Netflix adaption anyway and as such will probably skip all these figs, but the monster would still make a nice addition to my game based Witcher figs.

Like... every domestic company? Hasbro, Mattel... everyone?

If you are being specific about figures that have unique sculpts and actual paint, then NECA.

Yeah another miss here for Netflix Witcher facesculpt. Doesnt look like Cavill, more like Bobby Cannavale playing Geralt. Guess frustration for me is as of late particularly with Hasbro Star Wars, Ive been more impressed with the headsculpt detail for 3.75" scale versus the 6" scale. The bigger the easier it should be to nail details.

Agree with the price and although not an overwhelming thought for me, but every "miss" I just imagine the peg-warming and then eventual waste that has come from this.

NECA lives more on the $30+ price tag, with the sacrifice of basic articulation.

Neither of these look any good. Geralt looks like gerrard depardeu making a fart face and ciri is just flat out plain and boring. S2 geralt is the best fig in both the toy line and his outfit has been his best look.

That looks even LESS like Cavill than the first one. They really don't want Cavill on Witcher.

They clearly are trying to make him look less like Cavill.

But boy Ciri looks boring. An interesting outfit and design in the game turned into a boring ass design in the series.

I don't know what's up with the Netflix series... I guess the series writer(s) decided Sapkowski's original stories were boring and needed a nearly complete re-invention...

But turning Lambert into a Leshy?

Maybe McFarlane will give us one more monster (a Bruxa!) or a Yennifer before the new season collapses under its producers' disdain for Andrej Sapkowski's writing and the toy line sinks with it...

My guess is that with Cavill having quit/been fired, even though the last series with him in it hasn't come out yet, they no longer have the likeness rights to make figures based on his appearance.
