Kinda bummed that NECA appears to be moving away from horror and sci-fi in favor of shitload of TMNT stuff and other animated properties.

I'm ordering Usagi but with this and the crooked Ninja Turtle gang I'm done with the cartoon. I skipped a bunch of recent ones too and don't really care about the Mirage/Archie versions, so I should be good on these, finally.

All this stuff gives them more money to do other things and grow. They can only do so many figures for movies that are becoming more and more obscure over time as the target demo ages.

Whether you like them or not, there's no denying that those Neutrino figures are spot on.

I don't collect these but I might get me that Usagi if only because I loved the old Samurai Warrior game on my ZX Spectrum which came out in 1988. Didn't the first Turtle game come out in 1989? So Usagi actually beat the Turtles in getting a video game. lol.

For some reason....
The Neutrino's remind me of.....
"The Great Gazoo"...

And Yojimbo is so sweet ;^)

Groceries and gas win. Sorry Neca. I wanted these but I can not justify most toys with prices skyrocketing. Plus my home was just reaccessed $50,000 higher by my city and my electric bill was $320 higher. Yeah!

$50 Bucks for a Usagi figure molded in the cartoon style, with minimal detailing, with what appears to be almost the bare minimum of accessories, and. . . it just feels predatory as HE11. I didn't get the last one because I think it looked/looks cheap, and while this one doesn't, it defiantly doesn't look like $50 Dollars! I'm skipping this one too, but 100% getting the Last Ronin fig, maybe both ver, and maybe they'll release a UY in the near future with a little more grit, or at least think about their pricing if the don't.

I'm kinda shocked at the quality and price difference in their own line of toys. How can those Last Ronin figs be less than that Usagi Yojimbo. I think (or hope) they learn to stop treating fans like pay-piggies and that damn bunny like a an Action Figure Demigod

The creator of Usagi Yojimbo is like the only author/artist I have ever met and got their autograph. And I was just a kid standing in line having no idea who I was standing in line for at my local comic shop one Saturday afternoon. It's neat Usagi Yojimbo is still popular enough to get a figure made of him.

There's 2 licenses for Usagi whereas all the other TMNT figures are just the TMNT license. Licensing costs are big so that's what the difference is. Both figures are still $35ish, so they're not really more expensive.

Have Usagi figures in TMNT lines always cost more than others? I told my mate about this new figure and he told me he has one from the 2012 TMNT that he says is good enough and only cost him about £6 new in packaging. I think he said it was this one but that he'd drawn some black lines on it with gundamn marker?

He doesn't collect TMNT but like my reason above for maybe wanting that NECA was because he too had the old Samurai Warrior game on cassette tape back in the 80s. But he had it on the Amstrad CPC as opposed me having it on my ZX Spectrum lol

This doesn't cost more for retail, it's $35 like most recent figures are. I mean it costs NECA more b/c of licensing. If someone is happy with that other toy that's fine, I want something that'll mesh with the entire rest of the NECA cartoon figures I have.

The target demographic for 1987-era TMNT isn't appreciably younger than that for Aliens, Predator, Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Arnie, Sly, etc (all of which had entries extending well into the 90s themselves).

Dang. Can’t find this anywhere to pre-order. Out of luck? Look in Target on release?

I consider that NECA Usagi Yojimbo a must have... so I will probably get him even at scalper prices... just hope he doesn't suck me into collecting TMNT stuff... not really a TMNT fan though, so shouldn't be too bad for me.
