I bought the Link when these things released, but with the lack of new offerings from the other lines I collect I decided to get the rest of the gang. Plus at $7.99 I feel like I am ripping off the stores, lol. These things are great! |

I eventually did see a Wario but he looks super out of scale so I didn't grab him. Still haven't seen anybody outside of him, Mario, and Yoshi though, and I'm not about to pay $30+ for Link.

Thanks UKMU.
Has anyone one seen the Metroid (blood sucking parasite) figure ? I'm not sure if it's a regular $7.99 one or if it's a bigger deluxe figure like Bowser or Donkey Kong. |

And yeah, samus herself is like 6'5'' She's really tall. So with the suit on that'd be about right. |

It is a "Deluxe" figure the size of Bowser or DK. They have the case up for pre-order at EE

Ok cool. I'll have to wait for that to hit retail.
Thanks for the info. Yeah I consider her in scale but some collectors are very particular about that and want uniform height. I personally like diversity in my figures (and in real life). |

Wait, so how big is the Metroid toy going to be? Is it going to be in scale with the Figma Samus?

Figma Samus is about 5" or 6" tall and this Metroid will be as big as that on its own. |

Define "In Scale"... I don't think we've seen in hand pics of it with anything, but it will likely be too big to be "in scale" with anything, unless you consider it to be the BIG METROID at the end of Super Metroid.

The metroids look in scale with the samus. I was looking at the pics online and a giant ear wig started crawling on my arm. I screamed and for a split second thought a metroid got me.

Knowing how big the box is (from owning Bowser and DK) I think this Metroid will be HUUUUGE compared to the 4" samus in this line. It will be slightly too big for the Figma Samus, but that's just a guess. It will certainly be a nice display piece though, and I'll be buying it. |

That Metroid will be big.
There is a toy fair video from Pixel Dan talking to the Toy Guru who is now at Jakks Pacific and he is freaking out about this line. He grabs the Metroid with both hands and squeezes the "Bubble" part to show it is flexible and durable. He even puts it on his head, saying they should make Metroid hats, so you can get a pretty good idea of how big it is. While this is cool and something that has more or less never existed before I don't like these new 6" figures seem to be extremely limited in articulation. It looks like we get arm movemnet on Ganon and spike movement on Metroid and that's it...oh well I will still have them both, lol. I personally loved Wind Waker I just never liked The design choice for Ganon, it seems weird that he is just a fat cartoony version of what we are all used to seeing. I must have the Zelda and Metroid figures. This is not up for debate. They must be mine.

Hey Guys and Gals I'm not sure if there is an appreciation thread for these yet as was wondering if this would be the go to thread for pics, info, and general discussion for these going forward or if we should make a new thread? I'm already going crazy with these things and can't wait to think up new display options. Plus I want to know where people are finding them. I have never seen the 6 inch ones anywhere but Toys R Us. Plus I haven't seen the new wave anywhere yet. |

Guess I'll just have to wait to see him for myself. Hopefully he won't be too pricey though becuase I'd like to get three of them.
Why? He i the second best incarnation of Ganon. The only downside is he doesn't have a design that allows for a fully articulated figure.

That's what I figured as I haven't been able to find the DCPI for the 6" ones to serch Targets inventory.
I got my first one, Link, at TRU and I found DK there a couple days ago. But all others have been picked up from Target. I know it is silly, but the lengths I go through sometimes to save a dollar is ridiculous. TRU around me have these at $8.99 and Target has them for $7.99. Target gets my money. |
