I was in TRU today and was surprised to see they actually re-released the Ninja Turtle Van! I had seen pics of it at Toyfair but with how bad the figures seemed to be selling I figured they would have scrapped it. It was $20 at TRU
After looking at pics of the vintage one online and a youtube review, it seems the only differences between this one and the vintage one are: 1. Some stickers are missing like the one on the orange bomb drop ramp and the two on the bombs, also the stickers are pre-applied 2. No rubber band to hold a Turtle into the "Foot Tenderizer" 3. The rear view mirrors are made of a softer plastic (I think it's softer than the vintage, I never had one as a kid) Also noticed that the box looks vintage, but the stock pictures they used of the toy itself are new but still posed to look like the originals (Just no kids playing with the toy now ) |

Our store got these in last week. $20 isn't a bad deal! Definitely glad I didn't preorder for $35 at BBTS. This thing rocks...reminds me of the childhood....aahhh

I saw this the other day and was really surprised by it! My TRU had it for $24.99, not $20. I still might get it though. It is really, really tempting.

Just read about the differences. Yeah, I remember the door had a rubber band on it to hold a turtle on it. That sucks that this doesn't. And the original mirrors were hard plastic, yes.

Original wagon: TMNT Action Figures
Just noticed they also don't have the rear side windows on the new one like the old one either. Wow! Quote:
I also had the Turtlecopter: TMNT Action Figures And the Pizza Thrower: TMNT Action Figures And I want a reissue of them both.

Awesome! I was at a TRU today, but I did not see this, then again, I wasn't looking, Very cool. I did not have the original, but always wanted it when I was younger.
Glad to see it got released, and for $20, no less, that's a pretty good deal!

Yeah you know the TRU in my area reorged their shelves and moved their TMNT stuff on like the bottom shelf of a different isle. I'll have to keep an eye out and see.

I heard they were celebrating the 25th anniversary of when the comic first started (Probably to jump on the 25th bandwagon with Transformers and GI Joe) The toys first came out in 88 or 89 so in 5 years maybe they'll do this all over again
