Seconded.

Also, I've yet to find a modern Mcfarlane figure that doesn't feel extremely fragile. Also have a problem with them not being able to actually use their stands thanks to limbs slowly bending.

Has left me collecting the Mattel Multiverse figures that I can find before they're secondary market only. Though even those took a hit in visual detail with some characters in the last 3 waves.

I’m not at all familiar with the stories these guys are based on, but The Murder Machine and The Grim Knight look pretty damn cool. And I think I’ll need to pick up The Devastator just based on the fact that he’s listed for $20. That nuts.

That's why the DCUC line by the 4HM will always be the greatest interpretation of the DC comics based universe in 6' scale imo. No other DC action figure line has come close to matching it. It seems like the directive given to toy companies that are given the DC license to do figures is to make them scale incompatible with Hasbros ML line. That's why none have gotten my $$ since the great DCUC line days.

It really does look like McFarlane is only doing the stuff that fits his tastes, which means grimdark and Batman.

There are other dark characters, monsters, and capes to be found. There is even a group called Justice League DARK.

Come on McFarlane, you know you want to make cool monsters like Swamp Thing, Man-Bat, and Clayface. The Demon, Etrigan, even has a cape!

Everyone is assuming McFarlane is picking which characters get made but, most likely it's Warner bros. that's calling the shots there, at least for now.

I watched an interview with Todd McFarlane and when they talked about DC I'm pretty sure he said he was choosing the stuff that he liked. He wanted to do big, bulky, cool stuff that would be new and interesting. The armored Batman and Superman were his best DC sellers I think. I need to watch it again.

yes Make Etrigan those idiots at DC Collectibles cancelled his figure last year and I really wanted that. Make Swamp thing too and do my boy John Constantine Vertigo era Matt Ryan version and current comic. Enough with the batman figures already

So he doesn't want to do anything similar to Spin Master and he wants to do characters and looks that have never been done before. Because he is trying to appeal to consumers (including children) who would see his figures in the toy aisle and want to buy it even if they don't know the figure. So people who saw the armored Batman and Superman see a cool looking character with a ton of plastic that gets even bigger with wings and want to buy it even if they have no clue of the source material. Sales + McFarlane's preferences are driving his selection.

Tired of Batman but some of these designs are fantastic Devastator and the Punisher Batman guy looks fantastic. Must get.

I wish they would have spliced in more villains, other heroes, ect.

People complaining about scale are very ignorant in many ways. It's a 7" line and NOT meant to go with Legends. McFarlane said this many times and so have other reviewers and toy collectors.

7" allows so much more details. The sculpts by McFarlane are top notch. He needs to work on functionality, but yeah...good looking stuff just needs character tweaks.

I do want Todd to do some 1/6 scale stuff. I am not sure if they have the ability, but some of their past 12 inch figures such as Robocop were VERY high quality.

Somebody got the cowl right for Grim Knight. I'll buy one as a matter of principle.

Edit: I missed the side view. Ugh! ...Never mind.

All the Batmen are available for pre-order on Walmart right now. Looks like they are Walmart exclusive.
