The designs have been knocking around for quite some time, but it looks like Fewture is making their releases official: based off of the sketches of the unfortunately deceased Taku "Roboshi" Sato, Fewture will be producing four new high-end (and very, very, expensive) diecast robots with his unique reimagined designs.

Taku's designs are AWESOME, brilliant reimaginations. It's a shame such a talented mecha designer died so young.

His designs are pretty cool, it's true, but the ones that Fewture have put out since Taku died just haven't had the same quality and soul of the ones he actually sculpted. The Getters were amazing, but I was pretty disappointed with how simple the Mazingers were by comparison. The aesthetic was there, but not the sculpting. These kind of look the same. Taku really is irreplaceable.
