I recently decided to start collecting some Dragon Ball figures, more specifically Dragon Ball Super (to start). S.H. Figuarts figures look to be up my alley, as I want posable figures. I want to start off with just a handful of characters, probably SSGSS Goku and Vegeta, and Golden Frieza.

What tips do you have for a newbie?

SH Figuarts are about the only game in town, so to speak. Bandai America's Dragon Stars Line is a lower tier line that was just released here in The States, and although the figures don't look half bad, they don't look quite as nice and have vastly inferior articulation.

But this is a really good time to jump into the (DB SH Figuart) line. There are a lot of recently released awesome figures hovering around $40. Premium Color Cell was also- re-released as a re-paint and is about $60, but that is still about half of what the original was going for just a few months ago.

Good luck and happy hunting

I don't bother with Figuarts anymore. I've only been buying Bandai's Figure Rise line.

I only by SHODO but that's because I'm a 1:18 collector.
