I recently received my Star Sister 3 pack, I was underwhelmed to say the least. But I got a nice surprise in that they only charged me $31, now yesterday I got a second charge for $43. I understand that the figures are up for $66 on Matty.com, but is it legal to charge someone a second time when they already have the item in hand and paid for? I tried talking to there customer support in -surprise- India and got nowhere. I just believe that if you make a mistake, you should swallow the pill, and not charge someone for a second time after they have received and paid for the item.
Seriously is it legal to charge someone more, after you have invoiced them one amount and delivered the item?

I think the bad part is that they made a second, unauthorized charge to your card. Even if it was a previously agreed upon total. Maybe not outright illegal, but you might be able to dispute it with your credit provider.

The question is whether you really want to pay less for something than you agreed to pay when you purchased the item. Even if it was their mistake.

I forgot to mention that they called the second charge a subscription renewal, like they realized their mistake and instead of charging me again, they renamed it as a subscription renewal fee. I just started my subscription in January, how can I get charged a renewal fee in January?

The first charge was not a mistake they did it to help withJ an funds after xmas, the problem was they were supposed to wait until the 24th or 30th to charge it but digital river messed up and charged a week apart. Toy Guru had posted the broke up charges a week or so ago on facebook and on mattycollector.

I noticed that too. Got the first charge than a few days (prob a week) later I got another one and thought that was fast. What was the point in that? Matty's really giving people head aches lately. It's going to be interesting next year when they try and scare us into buying subs again. I can't wait to hear what they come up with. Or it will go out with a fizzle like the Ghost Busters sub.

Thats another problem I have with this company, they post information like this. As a consumer if there is going to be a change, I want to be emailed personaly. I dont follow Matty on Facebook or anywhere else, but as a consumer I do expect to be informed of changes.

Matty had said before the Star Sisters were released that they would be charged in two installments, one week apart. It is weird that they did it this way, but at least they put the information out there prior. And yes, they also said that the second installment would indeed be billed as "subscription renewal". Not a mistake at all, buy they could have been a little more diligent in educating their customers. You'd have to go specifically to the news section of their website to know this.

That's the number one reason I didn't buy the sub.

LOL I'm actually looking forward to getting Tallstar. The others I don't care too much about, but those garish 80's colors look so ridiculous they're awesome. I know I'm in the minority on this one, though.

They're from a different show. There was "He-Man: Masters of The Universe" and there was a spin-off called "She-Ra: Princess of Power." PoP was the little girls version of He-Man. Comparing the two is similar to comparing some of the more classic Marvel stuff to the loads of asinine spin-offs they keep tossing out there.

So elephant head guy was a figure that a kid into He-Man during the 80's had.

The camera head guy was just the result of a contest they had.

Contest Camera Head Bozo-Man is still crappier than a nicely sculpted female set-

Though I see your point about it not being from the same show even.
That's bullshit.

They should have gone with Teela, He Man's mom and...er...Hordak in drag.

I dunno, Jason. Photog sucks, but looking at the Star Sisters just makes me RAGE. And if I would have bought a subscription, I'd feel better about being forced to pay $22 for one stupid figure than $66 for three stupid figures of characters I don't remember from a show I didn't like and A %#@$-ING PINK BIRD. Sorry. I just REALLY hate that set.

Man...$66 is really goddamn rough- I did not know they were so much!
See if they sell on ebay, I guess.
$66 is a Sentinel and a large pizza! With toppings even!
