Dude the picture you used is classic haha.

I'd rather see an animated movie than a live action one, it's better off for fans that way.

This movie has been in development hell for years! I remember reading a few years ago that John Woo was going to direct. Then Stevenson's name got thrown in. Who knows what will eventually end up happening with this. I hope they do it justice. A proper He-Man MOTU movie would be awesome.

I couldn't agree more, on both accounts . This deserves more of an animated movie treatment than live action. It should go the way of TMNT instead of say Dragon Ball Z.

I'll never understand why the people who decide that a property is good enough to make a movie out of decide to alter it to the point where its barely recognizable from what made it great to begin with.

Well that's simple, money. They don't have enough to do what they want on their own, so they have to shop it around to studios. Studios then read the script and say, yeah this isnt bad, but you need to change this and this, oh and this too. Then it becomes something completely different.

Ofcourse. But I think you missed the point. I meant more that if it is good enough to begin with why change it so drastically. I know the whole "too many cooks..." thing is happening but I wish they would just take a step back and let it be what it is. You know?

Oh I couldn't agree more. But looking at some movies now that we call classics, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Back to the Future, they were all changed in some ways before everything was said and done. So not all change is bad.

I remember reading the synopsis of the idea for the movie and it sounded incredible. I have no idea what the changes have been to it are, if any. This has been floating around for awhile anyway, who knows if it even gets made.

True. But none of the examples you mentioned were adapted from existing source material. Change and adjusting are part of the creative process and are essential. And I absolutely understand that some changes are inevitable and necessary when adapting for a motion picture.

I will be happy as long as the majority of the plot revolves around Eternia and maybe the Horde dimension. If anything takes place on Earth, I will be disappointed. Eternia is so far removed from the real world, any attempt at putting the MOTU characters on Earth will fail.

Well if Mattel pulled it from WB becuz they werent staying tru to what they thought was MOTU i think thats a good sign. Someone should have made a similar decision on the Gi Joe ROC movie.
