If the new Yoda is even smaller than the previous mold, why does the Dagobah set cost more than double two regular size figures?

The amazon exclusives are up on hasbropulse right now for preorder. Limit of 1 of each per person. Amazon dropped the ball. I’m glad hasbro came through.

It's too bad Hasbro Pulse charges immediately for pre-orders. I'll wait for Amazon. Besides, I want more than one of some of them.

Why the hell are they calling the Luke/Yoda set "deluxe?" There's nothing deluxe about them. There are minimal accessories and nothing "extra" about the figures themselves. That set is definitely NOT worth $45. It's a $30 set at best. Yoda is STILL incorrect. His head is bigger than Luke's for chrissakes!

It's only that big so it can fit Frank Oz's massive ego

Deluxe because they're in the same box.

I won't speak for other people but for me personally I have zero interest in any sequel characters, whereas because of cool designs and TCW animated series I love lots of prequel characters and clone troopers. Of course it is a given that original Star Wars will always be most popular.

Also, someone help me out with Chrome Vader as I'm terrible with colors. Some of the shots look like he is navy blue but in others he looks black. Did they just use some sort of metallic black?

with the release of 40th Luke ESB I am finally able to finish up a decent Skywalker Sage cabinet!

Now just to wait and see if we finally get a photo-real Finn and Poe

It's a SDCC exclusive piece, I'm honestly surprised they're even releasing it. It's the first Black Series piece that was exclusive to a SDCC set that's ever been released as normal. It's Han in Carbonite, be glad it's $15. The Sideshow 1/6 version is 250 fucking dollars.

Luke has multiple hands, Yoda has 2 heads, and they're packed together. That sounds like a Deluxe Black Series release to me.

Indeed.

Oh well, makes it that much easier to pass on this set. I only got the TESB40th Yoda because it completes the set. I certainly won't get another one to open. I guess if I want to have this particular twosome, I'll get the 3.75" OTC version again since my collection was stolen in 2014.

Very interested to see how this stormtrooper turns out. Weird how none of the three companies doing 1/12 stuff have been able to quite nail it so far.

Yeah, I don't get the big ego thing either. I know he isn't afraid to voice his opinions and people get offended by it on Twitter every so often but, it always seems to me that hes an okay person.

Yuuuuup. I understand he was Jim Henson's best friend, but he acts like he knows exactly what Jim would do in any given situation, and is a bit of a hypocrite. For the former, he publicly accused UK politician Gyles Brandreth of lying when Brandreth stated he had original Fozzie Bear puppet, and when it was proven that he did indeed have an original, Frank gave a half-assed twitter apology about how he "never though Jim (Henson) would give his characters away" which is as stupid as saying because you gave a kid a Batman figure, you gave him the rights to Batman with it. For the latter, he bashed the 2011 Disney soft-reboot of the Muppets without even reading the script, but still gladly cashed the check and came back to play Yoda in TLJ, even though it wasn't written by the Lucasfilm writers and went in a totally different direction. So yeah, he's a bit of a dick, which sucks 'cuz I really love the Muppets...

Yeah, that is some trivial petty nonsense to hate on someone for but whatever.
I've heard recollections from cast and crew members who talk glowingly about him but sounds to me like he's just like any other public figure who puts his foot in his mouth publicly from time to time. He should probabaly get off Twitter.

I'll hate on whoever I wanna hate, thank you very much! I'm sure he's a nice guy overall, but his public persona does not endear me to him haha

The mistake is on purpose, it's a callback to when Kenner mixed up the names for the 3 3/4 figures in the early 80s.

Yeah, you have to pay in advance and there is a limit of only one per order.

Agreed. I'm waiting on Amazon as well since I prefer to slowly pay up my preorders, but I don't understand how Amazon has shot themselves in the foot so hard with this. It's a digital preorder, not a physical one. And it's May 4th. I know they're going through extraordinary stress and having to do above and beyond with everything going on, but it's a digital logistics issue, not a physical one. For Hasbro to have to pick it up is a bad sign. Unless they're trying to figure out how to make it one per customer per some agreement with Hasbro. Which is entirely possible if Hasbro is limiting the number of stock.

On Hasbro Pulse, you only pay upfront if you pay with PayPal. If you pay with a card, there is a brief authorization hold on your card for the full amount that will eventually go away. Your card will be charged when the item arrives. This is pretty common on a lot of sites.

From what Hasbro Pulse said on their IG, it stemmed from Amazon only really shipping essential goods in regular time frames right now.

I call bullshit on that. It's a preorder, so it's not something that is expected to be shipped within a day after ordering. So it has little to no effect on Amazon's logistics immediately. And as far as the pre-authgorization goes, I stand by what I said. Yes, the charge drops off, but it DOES tie up your funds during that time. So, it's not a "true" preorder in the sense that you are not charged at all until the item comes into stock.
