I do that too to an extent. I use the movie Black Widow in my set up because I don't really like any of the comic Widows we've been given so far (I liked the Avengers Assemble line one actually but the total lack of weapons aside from the big missile launcher thing put me off). I also use the Iron Man 2 line movie War Machine as a modern War Machine suit plus Black Panther and Agent-13 from the TRU pack as more modern versions of those characters. I actually think that most movie figures can work in a mostly comic figures set up which is especially good since the movie lines have an abysmal lack of villains for the good guys to take on. I even intermix alternate comic versions freely without setting up a display just for those non-mainverse guys (like the upcoming AoA Magneto who will just go in with my other bad guys even though AoA Mags was a good guy).

Just thought I'd share this with everyone since it's helped me out. If you hate figures on the Cloak buck that are completely black, you should swap out the knees/lower legs with the MI Grim Reaper figure. The black blends in perfectly with them and it doesn't have that purple/blue fading look on some on the rest of the Grim Reaper figure. The Grim Reaper is also pretty easy to find. He's still pegwarming at my local Target. Also, you can swap out his right hand. The only figures I can think of that would benefit from this are Cloak and the Havok variant. The extra articulation for the price of a Grim Reaper which you can find clearanced fairly easily is totally worth it.

That's a good point, though the picture loading doesn't really make a difference as long as it's on the same page. It's still loading all the pics of that page. It does boost the page rate though for different pics to get set to different pages which may lighten the load for phones. That's more for the mods to decide and depends on how many pics per post is user-friendly. No clue since I do most of my posting from PC and don't have that issue.
Pure text only posts should be reduced to one post instead of 8 new posts in a row though. They don't really inhibit anything as opposed to extremely large file sizes of some high detailed pictures. But good call on the pictures, hadn't thought of it like that. CCC. |

I do the same with intermixing some lines. I keep Avengers Assemble BW on my comics characters shelf among a few others like Amazing Friends Iceman and Firestar on there too. Would put Assemble Hawkeye on that shelf too, but still can't find one. |

Anyone know if Dr. Doom's cape came with any other figures besides a version of Doom himself?

Is the Infinite Emma Frost's hands painted or is it molded white? seems painted to me but I want to be sure before attempting to strip paint.
Also what is the safest way to strip paint? |

Bah, don't want to buy that pack. It's pricey. I'll just get Doom. Thanks!
Yeah, I knew what he meant... |

Had to look him/her up, too. Definitely going to make one. A female though, the male design looks awful and another female figure in the collection is never a bad thing.
Editting via the phone is ridiculous. Way too hard. Never again.lol Last edited by Mordiganne; 09-09-2016 at 11:49 AM.. |

Found the ASM1 figure I have in my "junk" drawer last night and on a whim decided to repaint it.
![]() Any ideas on how to keep the paint from rubbing off on the joints? Specifically the elbows and shoulders? I thought about dripping superglue on a q-tip and rubbing it on there then painting over it agian but I'm not sure if that would do the trick. |

Eh I'd really prefer not sanding if I can help it and every time I've layered paint it never stays or just makes everything look goopy.
Appreciate the help though. |

I've done it before to seal on paint but not to joints.
