why did hasbro down scale 3.75 vultures wings compared to "build a wing" vulture?

Possible SDCC figure??????

https://m.intl.taobao.com/detail/det...id=40706702981

Could be a custom? Perhaps even larger scaled but mislabeled?

I think it's a custom. Human head and some guns are from GIJoe.

So they could sell him in a two pack with Spider-Man. That's actually not a terrible reason to make them smaller. Would it have been cooler if Vulture were sold on his own and had appropriately giant wings? Yeah. However, this way we do get two figures at once instead of just one with giant mostly flat pieces of plastic. At least our scale's Vulture has his wings on his own, we don't have to buy six other toys just so Vulture can be complete (even though our scale's head is not accurate).

Those tentacle bits shoot down that SDCC theory. Definitely a custom.

Still, it would be a nice figure to get some day.

That packaging looks like it could house bigger wings.archangel and civil war falcons wings look bigger.im still going to pick it up though.just noticed the reduced size.lol and the way things are right now,i wouldnt mind paying for several figures to complete a 3.75" vulture

One of my favorite reinventions of all time and should have has at least a crappy 5 POA Spider Man figure but Hasbro changed kiddie toys to 5 inches right when the toon started using him.

yeah my Target had those too but then that security guy disappeared & those went with him

I rarely see those anymore in other Targets. I doubt they would even enforce it. I could see them enforcing something around Xmas time.

i think a former arker might have made that custom,it looks familiar, symbiotes work?
still hoping we get a kingpin, would be cool if they did a kingpin crime syndicate boxset mix it up throw in a few different characters like hammerhead and tombstone and a few generic henchmen.

What do you think are the chances of seeing any new X-Men figures released in the near future?

There are so many amazing characters we still haven't got yet & I don't understand why Hasbro wouldn't at least put a few out . .

New:

Sauron
Domino
Morph
Lilandra
Banshee
Forge
Magik
Marrow
Polaris

Repaint: (in Jim Lee colours)

Storm
Gambit (short hair)
Jubilee

Not asking for much Hasbro but even 2 or 3 of these would be amazing !
I passed on both MU Storm and Jubilee because they weren't early 90's costumes... don't regret it. Well maybe Jubilee a little since her trenchcoat and head were perfect pretty much, but not like I could paint or customize the rest of her 90's look anyway.

Gambit was a must have so had to get him in spite of his lack of cool hair... like seriously for me the coolest thing about gambit was his hair... why didn't they give us his cool hair version in the comic 2 pack when they gave him a new headsculpt anyway... geez.

I would really like Forge and Banshee though to round out my MU team... think they could make both using the same body parts almost.

Second to third week of May is when the 3.75" exclusive SDCC figures pop up on Taoboa. So don't fret my 1/18th warriors. HASBRO still wants our money. The sky isn't falling...

Word, that cartoon was amazing. Couldn't stop watching it and rewatched it a dozen times on Netflix, sadly they removed it.

If someone wants to grab the homecoming sets eptoy.com is selling them for $21 plus $10 shipping. I didn't get them because I got one from robotkingdom.com on the way already plus they hardly answer emails. Very poor communication unfortunately. I wanted to know the shipping for 2 Packs and so far no luck. Their system only shows individual shipping.

BBTS has the movie pack at the same price, though cheaper shipping if you choose the cheapest option. Oddly, though, you can only get the Shocker/Spidey pack if you order both packs, which is unfortunate for me since I'm prioritizing the comic figures right now.

At this point the only way anyone is getting a 1:18 Agent Venom figure is to get a custom made or make one yourself.

We control our own destiny now gentlemen, not Hasbro.

Same goes for Storm.

It's apparent that Hasbro has no interest in 1:18 anymore, in fact I don't even know why they bother at all. GI Joe was getting some awesome figures at the peak of MU and now they just repaint into oblivion. How'd they honor the 50'th anniversary of GI Joe??? Lame repaints. You can't even find GI Joe in most stores anymore, and that was a absolute staple of the 1:18 scale.

Honestly I just wish they'd be done and cancel the line. The one or two sort of decent figures we get a year don't even come close to making up for the heartbreak after heartbreak that they keep puking out.

If I had even had any inclination to collect Legends (6 inch) before, the utter disrespect that they've shown us 1:18 guys stamped that right out. I would have respected it more if they just canceled the line and said we're moving to six inch. Instead they lied to everyone saying "we're changing the name of the line to infinite but you'll still get all the same articulation you know and love." And then preceded to puke out turd after turd that aren't worth the plastic they're made out of.

We got a couple good figures out of infinite, but the abominations they keep producing in the legends line is embarrassing. Grab up all the fodder you can and get to customizing or comissioning if you want any more quality MU figures.

If you want 90's Storm, make one or get one made, you'd be disappointed with whatever crap plie they decide to try to heave upon you anyway.

I'm playing an entirely different tune in that regard. I see a decent amount of figures that I can be satisfied with come out since 2016 started, and I still need more characters. Tombstone, Executioner, Baron Strucker, and so many more! Some of them even have prototypes ready, so I don't get why they don't try pumping them out in single cards or two packs.

Maybe it's because I didn't start collecting until late 2013, but my fire is still pretty fresh.

I found both of the 4" Spidey packs at Target today thanks to the help of Brickseek and fellow Arkers. I did have to do some comparing for both sets to get ones that I was happy with. The Shocker set was really just comparing minor paint details but with the Vulture set some of the Spider-Man's knees looked like he was late on a payment and Vulture let him know. They had a full case out I guess, 4 of the Vulture set and 2 of the Shocker.
I'll start with the movie set. Yay more MCU figures in this scale! The Spidey has pretty good articulation but his elbow hinges are kinda small which worried me a bit at first and then his knee connector pieces are gummy-feeling. These don't feel like major issues though, nothing ruining here. The paint is pretty on par for this size, some bleeding of red onto black or blue onto red but nothing damning. Vulture is the big draw of this set and while not accurate it's still a cool toy. His wings actually are pretty much the exact same size as Falcon's which is weird because they looked smaller in pics and even in the box. Also like Falcon's wings they have the feature where you can hinge one wing up and down and the other matches it.

So they aren't terribly small for the toy but compared to how big they are in the movie they're definitely not in scale. His head of course then isn't like the one in the movie at all but after messing around with him for a while it's still a neat head, but an accurate head would've been cooler. Pretty similar articulation to Spidey but no torso joint and overall not as much range. His paint is a lot cleaner though. Cool set.
Now on to the comic set. Shocker is just on the same under-articulated body as Living Laser (and others) so he can't strike too many cool shocking poses but he can do some stuff. The colors are all good but the application is a little lazy looking. The grid pattern is off on some parts or just incomplete at other sections. Honestly though given the size it's a good job. Best for last though, this is the comic Spidey we've been waiting for. His colors are the right red and blue, his paint apps are for the most part clean, and he's on the body that made this line's articulation awesome. Overall this Spidey is awesome and sells this set on his own with the Shocker just feeling like a welcome bonus since he hasn't been in this line before. Again, cool set.
