I like D Days idea of presenting the facts to someone higher but again iys finding that person and getting the right representative for us to present our fight in a mature intelligent mannor.

I had him modified by Issaim, resculpeted the entire top mohawk and ponytail because the stock ones are absolutely bland and uninspired, sculpted spike bracket on right wrist, spike on right elbow, left hand "leather" wrapped, custom weapons from angel forge, painted black appropriate to comic depiction on the feet, repainted the face to cover the shitty blackwash they did and paired the black around the eyes with red eyes

It's funny you guys say that because the whole reason that I have switched to this new style, and kind of stopped posting my pics on the forums for a while, is because I was not really getting any likes or appreciation for my photos before.


Even on a plain background photo it takes alot of time and effort, for me anyway, to pose the figure(s), set the shot up, get the lighting right, and then do some back end editing. And I've also spent some money on backgrounds, dios and other stuff in an effort to make my pictures look better.

I mean, every photo needs some back end processing if you want it to look more than just like you whipped your phone out and snapped a pic. But people who were/do doing/do that would get more appreciation, comments, likes than I would.

I know it's trivial to say this, and I come off sounding like a little b, but to go through the effort that I do, whether it looks like I did or not, and then get one if any comments on what I just did is disheartening. Especially considering some people never post any pictures at all.

So I switched to this new style because it doesn't cost me anything but time, to seek out different backgrounds to use for my pics, and the photographing and editing of the figure takes relatively the same amount of time.

So like I said, it was just an attempt to try something different, in an effort to get more buzz, talk, comments, whatever, because what I was doing before really wasn't doing much. And it seems to have worked, and I think it looks pretty cool.


But anywhoo I'll post up some of my simple background shots that I'm fairly certain that I haven't posted here.

Original MU female body, Mystique head with hair removed and re sculpted, waist swivel scluped over and waist shaved, emma frost lower legs/heels, weapon from marauders gun runners, boot tops and glove tops sculpted, Mystique belt with new cloth sash applied, head skull and belt skull painted silver instead of the the stock gold, and a repaint from head to toe

i feel what you're saying.....and I've felt that way before also. It would be cool to have a "LIKE" button here for that reason. (at least i think).
Better in cases where. i see your stuff..and it looks cool. But nothing i felt i needed to comment on. Compare that to like IG or other forums where you can just click a lil like button..
You do tend to want a little recognition for the work you put in....EVEN IF IT'S JUST LIKES!! ;O)

Well the other forum that shall remain nameless, that I'm a part of, does have a like button, and I like I said, I'd work all hard to take a stupid toy picture, and I'd get one friggin like, if that.

Meanwhile someone takes a poorly lit, blury, potato quality picture of whatever and they get like 10 likes and compliments.

And It's not even just the picture that I'm putting out there, it's what I'm taking a picture of. Now I've said many times, I can't customize my way out of a paper bag, my artistic skills are for shit. But I've spent ALOT of time waiting, and ALOOOOOOTT of money on my collection, aquiring the finest customs, from the best makers in the game, building relationships with customizers, and geting people that don't normally work in 4 inch to do work for me. And I might not have any artistic ability, but I know what I want the end product to look like, what it should have looked like from the begining, so there is a good deal of back and forth between customizers and myself where I'm like no, it should be this not that, and that needs to be this way. And So when I go through all that effort and money spent, and then put in the time lamenting over if the picture that I just worked on for half a day looks good or not, then to have all of that stuff go basically unnoticed is kind of a bummer.

That's why I basically exclusively post on Instagram nowa days, I mean I only average about 50 likes a picture, but that average has steadily gone up and I can see the effort that I put in translated into something.

And at the end of the day, I collect only for me, I appreciate the hell out of each and every figure on my shelf, if I didn't I wouldn't be collecting. And so other peoples opinions should be a moot point.

But to your point, the whole point of this thread and others like it, why they were created, is to appreciate 4 inch Marvel figures. And pictures of those figures is a huge, if not the biggest part of appreciating. We gotta see what we're all talking about right?

DarkToyLord said it already so just peep his response for the info on Can of Beams, but his effects are legit as hell. He pretty much only focus's on 6 inch figures, but through my constant berating of him he has scaled some of his stuff down for 4 inch, plus alot of the 6 inch stuff he makes does work with 4 inch anyway.

Here is a shot of the beautiful Psylocke by Christina Conan that doesn't normally work in 4 inch, but did due to my pestering, with a scaled down head effect that I got can of beams to shrink down for me.

By the way, three different lighting effects going on in this picture, I lit her sword with a purple laser pointer, I lit the head effect by getting the reflection of my lighting just so, and the hand effect lighting I did in post process.



And here's a Spidey sense effect that he made for 6 inch, but still works pretty legit with a 4 inch perfect Spidey custom made for me by Noodlechow



And 2 Cable eye flares that he made for 6 inch, and work pretty well, although not perfect for my 4 inch Xforce Cable made by Issaim



Yeah and on the waist's, Christina and Myke Dela Paz the only ones doing this at the moment, but it makes the figure so much better, absolutely perfect.

Yeah, his stuff is legit as fuck.

I've gotten him to make a couple pieces in 4 inch, and I think he'd make more if more people asked him for it. I know that there is a market that he is ignoring, but I need more 4 inch fans asking him about making stuff for them so he'll cater to us as well.

yes you should..in fact i suggest you put things you've already posted here there as well...many people don't visit the 3.75 thread (because it's not their thing).
There, is an amalgamation of goodies. When i post in the marvel legends 6" thread..i simultaneously post in the "cool stuff" thread as well. i mean..it's toys and pics...who cares...(except WE do...heh)

Lol, well, as I've said a few time. The numbers don't lie, 4 inch garners more interest than 6 inch, by leaps and bounds. It's not even a close race.

Even though the 6 inch collectors clamor the most at the public events. Waaaayy more interest exists for 4 inch.
