Every toy line has cycles. Legends will peter out again eventually and signs appear to point to a decline right now. Maybe after the Legends hiatus the "core base" bitched on the internet and made YouTube videos. So, basically what we're doing, lamenting the loss of our favorite toy line. Yet you come in to rub our noses in it. If you don't have anything positive to add about 3.75, how about you don't troll this thread with your pro-6" input? No one here is going to switch because of anything you say. If 6" is your favorite, then great. I think they're basically Barbie dolls but I'm not going to your threads to troll you about it.

What did they do? Bitch and moan? Make angry YouTube vids? The stores didn’t “drop” 3.75, it isn’t being made. And yeah, legends are selling here too, just not at $20.00, I for instance just got the Thor wave and GOTG vol 2, and BP exclusive at Walmart for $9.00 each, and most of the BP movie wave and two of the FF exclusives at Walgreens for $12. If the shits hot it demands retail, or above, have you looked at secondary market prices on, well everything? Too much product is forcing people to compartmentelize, show me one ML compleationist... everyone picks and chooses, and usually the same thing. So you got a hundred people fighting for a 90’s cable, but the store is so clogged with Netflix punishers they only order one case, so he goes for 90$ on eBay...for a week or two, then he floods in as the last shit clearances out, but no one wants him any more because three more waves dropped in the mean time... I like both scales, but I can also smell shit heading for the fan, as I’ve said before though, I think 375 will be back, then 6” will hiatus for a bit, then it’ll come back and we’ll shut down again...

I wouldn’t go that far... but for a line thats pushing a property with literally thousands of characters the 3.75 scale is far more practical. ( now the 12”, that is Barbie territory) if they just scaled down the body types and sculpts the current 6” line is rockin they would have something. I just think when I can take a 45 minute drive, and between Walmart, Walgreens, and target build a respectable collection of 6” MLs (off the top of my head I know where to get at least 50 unique figures from waves going back to the green goblin up through the latest BP wave) and pay 8-11 dollars for them they have a serious problem... still blows my mind that people pay $75 and up to have shit that’ll be peg warming and on clearance within a month, but what ever, I do not recall in all my years of hunting MU, from 2008-2017, ever seeing them peg warm like the 6” shit, just sayin. And yeah individual joes were “loss leaders” to push vehicles and play sets, but they were priced as such, $3 or so if I recall. Trust me at 10 a pop they’re makin there money on individual sales.
most of you didnt even know who dave vonner was back in 2013. |

Yeah, but I think you’d find many many more compleationists in our scale, than the 6”. Again not trying to dash your 6” delusions of grandeur, but most people just don’t have the room, or the finances to pay over a grand a year on figures, that for the most part are minimal tooling and slight paint differences. but on a long enough time line the survivablaty of everything drops to zero, consumers as a whole have the attention span of gnats, markets ebb and flow, what’s hot today is forgotten tomorrow, I got a loose solid vision MIP from eBay for 11$ last week. And check out the high price and rare toy biz figures aftermarket prices the second hasbro announces a redo. You can’t give the damn things away! There are a number of reasons I like the 375 scale, playability, room they take up, display potential, and it’s just classic, to name a few, again I’m not a scale queen, and I do collect legends, but I see hasbro missing the mark by shitting on this scale, they don’t always get it right, they’ve spent most of there time in buisness a couple weeks away from bankruptcy for god sake! And if you think a concerted bitch campaign from a few “you tube stars” and loud mouth snowflakes with bad attitudes stalking hasbro reps at cons affected anything your dreaming. Hasbro still hasn’t really caught on to the adult collector concept, god help em I think they’re really starting to try, but the higher ups are still focus group, and child oriented. And # fuckdwight #dwightsawitch

XMO was 08 sweetheart, and I was collecting SHS before that, I have a fairly complete collection, plus I’ve had the opportunity to talk with Dave, plus I use to read toyfare we’ll before all you wanna be fan boys started fat fingering your keyboards in a feeble attempt to understand the universe, so if you want to take someone to school on this shit I suggest you find someone else, I’m about as close to a professor of 375 as you’ll find jack.

I like how people research Marvel Universe and believe it was the first Marvel 3.75" figures. I have 3 or 4 XMO figures that obviously paved the way for the vast line we had, but a few of the original MU figures used parts from the XMO line and even had the 2008 stamp in their mold!

The collectors had nothing to do with it, hasbro has said they shelved it so they could do a complete overhaul and refocus of the line, mainly to reestablish the brand and give new collectors a chance to get on board, and to differentiate it from the toy biz stuff.375 was vonner’s baby. He got canned, Dwight came in, he personally preferred 6”, so the 375 fell off, and 6” got all the attention. When did I bring up SW, or ji goe? BTW The first marvel 375 were actually the 84 secret wars line ( unless you want to go back to me go pocket heroes), which I still love.

Your quote” if you are including joes and Star Wars” why would you bring it up only to say don’t bring it up when I never brought it up? Then you go on to bring it up AGAIN ! Are you insane or just drunk!

the above is what you said i perceived that as 3.75 in general because lets be honest you did not state there are more completionists in the MU community than there are in the legends community, you were being ambiguous and vague! i think that its just you being a complete idiot and doing the classic american thing of being right all the time EVEN when you are wrong! |

We were talking about MU and ML... that is what this threads about right? And since you called me an idiot and dogged my country in one euro trash arrogance ridden statement I’ll feel free to now tell you your just about the moist pretentious piece of, what do you call it, “shite” ive ever seen attempt to string a thought together. You tried and failed to correct me, that makes you wrong, and your super butt hurt, I get it we can’t all live in the greatest country on earth! The one that gave you marvel and hasbro by the way and saved tour ass from the nazis, show some semblance of respect Nancy.

Yes, they did actually, if you owned any you could look at the stamps on there legs., 2008, I’m holding one right now. but that’s what you get when you rely on the internet for your info. Again boy don’t take the prof to school, you’ll get paddled, but I guess that’s the difference between living it, and googling it. As far as me saying “MU”,
I did, and still do group XMO and the other movie lines as MU. May 1st 2009 is when the movie hit ( XMO just so you don’t get confused) the figures were released November 2008 I know that because I bought them at a BX in Guam when I was stationed there in 08 jackass, I guess figure distribution is just about as slow in your neck of the woods as your ability to read and process information. Don’t make me get my paddle again boy... sorry for miss guessing your nationality, I assumed from your misspellings, false sense of superiority obvious lack of education hate for America and utter ignorance you were some kind of euro trash. My bad poopsi.
