do what you want with your money.

but you want the figures. just at clearance prices, and that is partly why the line is a shadow of itself.

Sick mordiganne! I think the marauders would make a great SDCC set. We still need an X factor beast from that era. I wish you worked at hasbro !

First before my theory one thing that makes it a bad theory is no announcement on any 2 pack for antman and wasp,

Ok so my theory ( this part is official) at this years toy fair Hasbro was not allowed to talk or show anything figure/product wise from the Infinity War movie so my theory is this is probably way we didn't get any look at any movie 2 packs on Infinity War ... But thats just theory a Hasbro theory

^ I hope you are right, I’m not sure who the villain is in the next movie but it would be cool if we get a wasp.

I remember walking into a fred Meyer (Kroger grocery chain) and seeing the MU line for like $7.99... but I want to say that was about a decade ago... cost of doing business on these figures has went up for sure, I don’t blame you and there is hardly any 3.75 stuff out there.

I also think (like kylactus) the 6” stuff is canabalizing itself with a cheap kids line and legends. Heck all the 6” collectors are complaining how much they will have to spend this year. Hasbro is overdoing the 6” stuff and the discount stores are flooded with legends.

Oy. Don't get my hopes up. I'll just assume i'll only buy a few Marvel figures again this year. Most of my money is kickstarting 4" lines.

Dude, yes, they were $8 almost everywhere and it was a decade ago. :sad face: The toy landscape has changed a lot since then. To your point about 6" getting saturated, I'm with you. I don't think Hasbro knows how to control the collector market and keep them buying without the fatigue.

I know what you mean the marauder task force contract ops figure was the reason i joined that kickstarter ( i plan to make a DP2 Cable custom with it) The thing i dont want to happen is to me buy parts from a caster to make a Wasp, thanos, drax, scarlet witch only to find out we will get official ones

Heres my recipe for wasp

that makes sense

I remember hearing that exclusives are generally not shown either because they don't need to be sold to a retailer.

Human or furry?

From the comments on Youtube with the Antman/Wasp preview, that villain is supposed to be the Ghost.

I purchased almost every figure from every wave until wave two of the reboot at retail for the full price. Everything since has mostly been repackages of what I already have or things I don't feel the need to pay $20 for (No pack has more than one figure I want, and Mr. Negative is the only one I am definitely getting). I bought the Mega Man/Iron Man pack for half the price after Target put it on clearance a few weeks after the release. Out of the three Targets near me, I'm pretty sure I am one of the only people to buy that at all. Blame the people passing on the figures completely, not the long time collector not willing to overpay for what I don't really want. At $5 each, I'm willing to lower my standards. If they release packs like Pyro/Avalanche, Viper/Lady Deathstrike, or any New Mutants, I'm all in at full price. If the line depends on everyone buying every single figure at a ridiculous price*, it's already dead.

*Wanting only one figure in a pack makes me view it as $20 per figure. The current $13 single pack price is already too high for me. I got bills to pay, man.

Most of the figures that I have purchased at clearance was because that was the first time I found them at retail at all. If Hasbro, Mattel, or any other company wants to sell these to me at retail, they have to reach me first.

Hey look! I've got some extra fodder for our "Dwight looking uncomfortable while answering a 3 3/4 inch question" compilation that has to happen at some point.

Marvel Legends Q&A with Hasbro Marvel Team - YouTube

Seriously, dude looks like he just crapped his pants when that question was asked.

I pre-ordered the City Hunter and Batman Beyond Rebirth vol 2 on Amazon way back in early December. They shipped the book but didn't send the Predator and then just up and canceled it late last month/early this month. Found it again over the weekend and I'm still waiting to get an email saying that it shipped. I'm starting to get antsy man.
