Good call Jackieboy, I am right there with you!!! If it wasn't for G1 3.75" Star Wars & Joes when I was a kid I would have never become a collector...I am not a hater of Legends in any way but 3.75" (especially Joes & MU) are what I look forward to hunting for every day!!!

I read a piece in toyfare way back in 09 when MU first came out. they were saying the point of the 3.75 scale was to provide more charactures in accurate scale, and to provide vehicles and playsets.... where are these? did I miss them? and not to be all "doom and gloom" but the head designer for the line said that before its over he wanted a Bag Head spidey... but that would probably only happen at the end of the line... du du duuuuuuu! more fule for the fire of paranoia. on another note I do want a legends DOOM to customize it into a statue
for Castle dooms front yard. |

Yeah, the lack of 3.75" is why I don't have anything DC. Although, that looks to be changing now. If Marvel were to drop 3.75" then I'd drop Marvel.
I love the elitism present in the Legends forums, their air of superiority over the scale of their collection really highlights the inadequacies in other aspects of their life. And, I have to agree, a lot of the dope collections I've seen on here are MU, Joe and Star Wars centric. For me, it was seeing Archangel and 90's Cyclops on the shelf and my X-Men obsession took over. The 3.75" is ideal for my deskspace. And here it is, the obligatory chicken little "the sky is falling, MU is over" post. It's been a while since we had one. ---- Does anybody use Legends, Selects or even old ToyBiz figures in their MU displays to portray height differences for characters like Galactus, Sentinels, FFF, Giant Man and the likes? I'm aware there's MU equivalencies of most of them but still lol,and stick these legends snobs in people like Solo's mancave for 5 minutes and then ask them do they still think 3.75" figures are childish,i bet they would be having trouble picking their jaw up off the floor,to even try answer that question. before MU my toy efforts were directed towards any doctor doom, deadpool, ash from army of darkness, packers and celtics. i honestly started collecting MU because of that i waited for the deadpools and the dooms but slowly started pickin up other figures of characters i liked til i started needing other characters to round out teams and fight scenes. to me they are the perfect scale to create fight scenes with tons of characters on one shelves plus at 10 bucks a pop my wife doesnt mind when i pick one up.
ill post some more set up pics of my shelves later

ill post some more set up pics of my shelves later im the same as you, some of my friends were and still are hardcore collectors,i just viewed myself as casual.but MU has started to turn me into something of a fanatic for the line.agreed with everything you said,my GF has less of a problem with these then she had with legends<<<mainly to do with lack of space. |

the thing that bothered me about the earlier legends were the faces. i havent found a decent sculpted face on them. they always seemed kind of distorted with creepy grins.

You can tell I'm relatively new to Ark, because I collect both MU and ML scales and think they're awesome. More figures to tinker with and mod as far as I'm concerned. lol... not sure why anyone would talk crap about either scale.

Postie sticks a note informing me I have customs duty to pay on my parcel. He sticks it through my door 5 minutes before the office closes. Archangel, Doom and Fury are out of my grasp for another few days it seems. |

Every other toyline gets playsets, but not for Hasbro; Turtles had the fantastic Sewer Lair and the little foldup ones; MotUC gets a Grayskull; Thundercats got a (rubbish) base; Dr. Who tardis sets, etc. But Hasbro - nothing. Seriously, if they designed things right they could make a fit-together city / building series of diorama's that they could sell chunk by chunk and I'll bet collectors would snap them up. |

I like the way Legends look,I just don't care for their size (too big). Also they don't sell them in any stores around here, except every once in a while one or two will pop up. But like someone said earlier if I come across one that I think would fit in with my MU or other like scale figures I'll pick up a ML.

![]() i was able to keep most of my bafs and they fit rather well with MU,even figures like blackheart and manthing.i think its cool that we can cross over with some characters, because of comic tradition, some of these characters have the ability to alter their size. |

Yep Foom is a stunning figure, I am well impressed with the BAF sentinels though, I have the MU ones but we just got 3 of the BAF ones and they are on another level it kind of makes me want to grab the BAF galactus to see if its the same quality.
Oh Apocalypse is great as well but you already know that SB lol I agree with Jackieboy about Man-thing and Blackheart Mephisto works well but he is hard to find in good condition

Cool I will keep the cash in my pocket, I have the dark Galactus so a traditional coloured one would have been ideal but if you say it is a pass then it is a pass
