New Marvel 3.75" Appreciation Thread

It wasn't even 5%. It was 5% of opening weekend (maybe day? I can't remember) sales. And Marvel brought 50% (not just 50%, mind you, 50% co-financing) to the table, but when you're negotiating for more, you always hit the highest you'll go right out the gate hoping they take it, but never expect it (same with negotiating for lower - always start the lowest you'll be willing to go). Unfortunately, according to Disney/Marvel, at least, Sony wasn't even willing to talk and just was like "It's 5% or you're out." And Marvel thought "well shit, if they're not even gonna play ball, we'll go home."

i agree.
While Spider-Man has one of the coolest rogues gallery in comics, there is a payoff seeing him interact with non-Spidey characters and vice versa, Marvel characters interacting with him.
He adds to the completion of classic characters together on the big screen.

Plus i dig the banter among the various Marvel characters in a movie.

Thanks. I bought a couple of Human Fly comics from a 10 cent box at a comic store when I was a kid and fell in love with the character. Something about a stuntman/superhero clicked with my preteen brain.

He's a fairly straightforward build. The two batons were from the MU yellow costume Daredevil and the rest is Marauder Task Force.

The body is the red & white Rescue-Ops. The head is a red balaclava (with painted white stripes). The shoulder harness a Steady Cam Harness Rig. The rest is a belt and various armor, c-clips, pockets and pouches. I also added 2 helmet plugs to the holes on the sides of the belt (I find the plugs are a good way to fill extra webgear holes). For now, you can't buy the white pocket/pouches with a red fastener outside of the fully geared up Rescue-Ops figure. I was told it'll be a few months until they are offered separately.

No major backstory to my Marvelous Joes.
It's basically the MU adapted into a SHIELD vs HYDRA war as opposed to GI JOE vs COBRA with various third parties & vigilante mercenaries inbetween.

i'm a fan of Marvel Comics, GI JOE figures, and the 3.75 inch scale. So i'm customizing Marvel Universe characters into GI JOE figures and nicknamed them Marvelous Joes for short. i was surprised how many of the JOEs can be adapted easily. i have a fun time doing it.

i'm just now getting around to actually taking pictures of them, thanks to all the creativity this forum inspires.

i'll take a group pic of the ones that are finished this weekend.
Some have have yet to be put back together from the various stages of repainting or sculpting.
