I am totally onboard with JazWares kicking the 3.75 inch scale on the brick & mortar front along with the Kickstarter companies bringing it to the table!

There are many people to blame, dwight stall is NOT one of them.sure most people in here didnt even know who dwight was up until a few short years ago.
Id say the fanbase is more to blame to be fair.

How would you say the fanbase is to blame?

The Overwatch stuff 100% should have been 1/18th. I mean, it's basically a more colourful GiJoe if you think about it. It's the best scale for playsets and the like too. If they'd made 1/18th Overwatch figs i probably would have bought almost all of them.

Many reasons,id have started with the "old MU appreciation" thread.then moved on to lack of presence at any major con up until the realisation the line was being shelved.then theres poor sales around the time the line was at its peak, people in these forums were making more money off the product than the actual companies, which forced many of us to use chinabay.

What you mean? Maybe the rest a bit but the Kamala looks amazing! it actually looks better than the game model as they toned down the techiness/clunkiness. the only thing that sucks is the Embiggened hand attachment, which is the one thing that really gives the "cheaping out for 1/18th" thing. I'll probably pick up the Taskmaster too just to have him, and maybe the Thor.

MM has a waist cut so she's already better than the last lot of 4 inchers. I just hope they're not actually 4.5 inchers, Kamala should be smol and petit. I mean she's a size shifter so I'll get her anyway, but still.

Personally i prefer the look of this to the Marvel Legend I have. I love my Marvel Legend but something is slightly off about the colours(very bright red and duller blue, opposite of the comics)

Anyway, it feels like the Kamala is the first "meaningful" new 4" figure we've gotten in years, save for maybe Negative Man in the Spiderman 2 pack. I can't think of any actual new characters we've gotten in recent years, plus it's more than just a couple of 2 packs apparently. It could be a good sign for the line going forward.

Thor needs a new head sculpt and the hulk for the two pack is a hot mess but otherwise I dig these and will buy what I feel like I can use. Honestly would be great to have just the Ms Marvel if nothing else.

If those are really 4" scale I'm impressed with the faces there.

Eh...for the market they're going for, 6-inch made sense. It's the dominant collector scale right now. There's a certain nostalgia factor 3.75 has that is probably better served for other properties that Overwatch doesn't quite fit in my mind. Though of course Fortnite also has stuff in that scale. I'm just happy Halo is doing something with it.

Yeah, idk, I think there's a reason why Fortnite and Halo went with it. Overwatch is the outlier here.

I think that Ms. Marvel looks great. I could make use of the Taskmaster head too.

I wanna see how those Spin Master figures scale too. I was pleasantly surprised to see Green Lantern in the 3.75 inch display at Toy Fair, so I might have to get in on the line.

In terms of not doing 3.75 at all, I guess, but both of those franchises also still do stuff in other larger scales. Like I said, 6" and 7" seem to be the preferred scale for collector figures now, unfortunately. Though the slowdown on Vintage Star Wars stuff isn't encouraging on Hasbro's overall view of the scale.

Does anyone know how the Mezco stuff scales with Marvel Universe? They're doing some of the old Hanna Barbera superheroes, and the bodies might be fodder for customs.

are they coming to Ireland finally? let me know if you spot them. some look a bit dodgy(Flash) but some of the upcoming ones are very nice - the Brainiac looks amazing. Wonder Woman is a good sculpt too, but needs a bit of paint love. I also wish The Damian Wayne Robin was smaller as he'd been very high on my DC must have lists for a while.

the more i look at the Kamala fig the more i'm in love with it. i love that it's an alternate take on her design while still being recognisable, and less messy than the stormranger design. The only downside is the embiggen accessory looks kind of bad, I wish it was a swappable hand like on my larger figure. I must just have to display her without it.

This is making me sad that the Infinite Series died before we could see Hasbro tackle some other more recent characters or looks. Would've killed for some House of X stuff in this scale.

Reading all of this back and forwards reminds me of the old days guys. I am the old guy on here and now that I basically deal with marvel customizing and all would still prefer 3.75 because of the endless possibilities, and vehicles. As long as there is fodder out there the figure in question will get made. Different times bring different ideas and if I can help anyone just let me know fodder, vehicles, capes, GI Joe, if its 1/18 scale message me.
