And the Secret Warriors omni came in a day early. I'm so excited to read this in a non-digital format. The dj is a little rough, but since I've gotten into custom covers recently (ugh, SO expensive when you get a lot at once - I'm at 11 and counting) I'll just replace that and call it a day.
Also got the Batgirl omni (first true DC omni for me - I don't count the Authority/Planetary). I won't get much more DC if anything, I'm a Marvel guy, but it was cheap. I also grabbed the Marvel Studios book which is great if you're into movie making stuff. Waiting on 1 more figure and can start the next batch. Hope everyone is doing well. |

I'm the biggest SW fan! I have a Nick & Daisy commission and four pages of Alex tearing through the Secret Service!

I was shocked to even see it for sale. I jumped on it the next day. For being almost a decade old, it only has a couple of small dents on the bottom and the aforementioned DJ issues that I don't care about. I was completely hooked the first time I saw the last pages of the first issue and Fury's "discovery" on my screen. Just kept getting better from there. I hope they can bring this work into the MCU somehow - I know they covered the "twist" with CA:TWS but there's plenty left to mine from here.

If anyone is interested, the Kickstarter for Silvestri's Cyberforce is now live. It's already funded, just a matter of what stretch goals it hits.

And, while it's on my mind, has anyone checked out the new Hit Monkey show on Hulu? I'm 4 eps in and still not sure what I think of it. It's very...Archer-esque.

I'm slowly converting my Joes into S.H.I.E.L.D agents and some select Cobra guys into Hydra agents. The blue srmored suit is my version of the Mandroid armor seen in the Avengers cartoon. https://www.instagram.com/p/BgFu1dnl...um=share_sheet https://imgur.com/KmoUQ6r

I just want everyone to match the dark blue/black of my Daisy custom- but using a base figure that's already dark blue saves all that paint rub prep bullshit. Mordiganne, are you reading the SW omnibus yet? Have you already read the series prior to buying that big beautiful block? I have one as well and really appreciated what Hickman was doing as I read it all the second time. Plus, I wanted to see the pages I own in print again! WE NEED THE GORGON IN THE MCU!

I had the first 6 SW issues as part of a digital download when I was reading the Siege event (This really needs a omni!!). After that I looked for physical to read the rest of the stories and couldn't find anything that held everything so I went digital fishing and found the full run of singles so I've had all of that for a couple of years now, but I never read beyond 10/11 in digital? So half the run is still new (kinda - I do a lot of digital page flipping when looking for art/customs to make) and there's a lot of extra material that I didn't have before. Agreed. They really could use Hydra a lot better than they have. Even that lackluster Agents of Shield show did more with Hydra than the MCU as a whole (to this point) which is something I really hope they make better use of going forward. |

And I forgot, Hawkeye debuts today. Anyone watching?
Oh yes, Hit Monkey...so bizarre. Not a bad show, but not something I'd say to the average person, "go watch this, you'll enjoy it". The secondary characters really elevated the show, IMO. From the intro of the ep6 foil character through to the end, the non-main characters were a joy to watch. |

Waterslide decals. East as pie to make and apply.
You can get opaque or transparent waterslide decals sheets on eBay for $1 a sheet- and a single 8.5x11" sheet will literally hold a couple hundred emblems this size! Get the emblems you want off Google images and place/shrink them in any graphics program. Get the Laser decal sheets- then have FedEx or Office Depot print your file on the sheet. Then it applies like any model kit waterslide. OR you can buy the SHIELD emblems off ebay from various sellers- Even in metallic silver!

Finally got in enough of the X-Men statues to take some pics. Love this line of statues. But first...some of other statues that are out.
Spider-Man - My little Spidey setup. I currently have this Campbell premium out. I might replace it with the Symbiote premium, but it's very heavy and a good bit taller than this one so I'm not sure I want it up as high as it'd be here. Black Panther - As soon as the final production pics went up I purchased this statue immediately. It's a bad pic, that doesn't do this any justice. I love this statue. |

Next up: I originally had these two shelves combined but it started getting very cluttered so I split the red & black themed characters apart. The Spidey steup is 2 shelves up from the Deadpool shelf, so it's a significant height.
Deadpool - Believe it or not I'm not a big Deadpool fan but I love the character's design (especially the modern costume). This Premium format was the very first Sideshow statue that I purchased. That was an age ago. I did get the new modern premium but it's still boxed. The Deadpool ticket there was for a birthday showing my buddy took me to (he works for FYE so a lot of the smaller Deadpool stuff is from him). It was great on Imax. Ticket #555 of 1000. Harley - Not too much here at the moment, but plans for more. I just liked the Darth piece there. It matched the theme so I bought it. |

Ok, X-Men time...I love Iron Studios 1:10 scale statues. They're highly detailed and these are the perfect scale for me. I love premium format scale pieces, but they take up so much more space. All of these are over by the X-Men print I posted before. (Anything that's visibly missing a piece is because I don't always put everything out. Pyro's flames, for example, are still boxed.)
Anyway, I'll start with these directly underneath. Juggernaut is massive. I was going to put him on the bottom of the full shelf but I had to replace the Archangel wing (like most I'm assuming since it's already waitlisted on Sideshow) and after fixing that replacement into the shape it's supposed to be I had to use Juggs there to keep it from bending back out of shape. So they'll be paired together for some time since they got massively warped by the box foam. And Psylocke obviously goes with Warren so...yeah. Jumping over the to the actual shelf, starting with this shelf I've currently got the 1:10 X mixed in with some Avengers since they lost their spot to Juggs & co. The magnets in Storm's neck/chest are not very strong. The head is wobbly because of that so moving it is dicey. Have to take the head off first. Going back to detail, they actually titled a couple of the books Storm is twirling around: X-Cutioner's Song & Dark Phoenix. The quality difference between the IS line and the Avengers statues here is night and day. There's no comparison. Worth every penny. |
