Ah. I actually have the civvie Logans in pieces at the moment for customizing. Sorry. They're appropriately scaled with the other Wolverines from that line so the height is the same at least.

My question is - How do I detach them for the bases? They waaay increased the size of them which looks pretty bad. most of them look like they can balance on their own. It seems like the feet in all cases are seperate entities, regardless, and one came loose easy enough on one of the figures - that's a fluke though, all the others are too jammed in there.

Some kind of heat gun? Superglue remover? hobby knife? really worried about injuring myself here. Burnt myself with a soldering iron once or twice...
i dont think anybody really works with the mini statue figurines as there is very little you can do with them from a custom standpoint. Some heroclix work as backdrop characters. try looking at other lines like fortnite.they have characters that can blend in with marvel.

Nice work on Superior Spidey and Black Knight, Artic 66!

Here's some wip pics of the airbrushing.

Edit: Also have to mention that I upgraded my paints with a Vallejo airbrush set as well. So these are using the new paints. The airbrush paint is much thinner than what I used to buy so it applies much smoother. I also bought a set of their regular Game Colors. Not as thin, but covers extremely well. I have some comparisons planned since I've had a half dozen heads in various states that were started using the old paints so I'm going to finish them with the old paints and see how the end results of both come out.

Initial prep - white on top of a black base to begin the layering.

Some heads with skin tones applied. Lot more work to do on these. The eyes need to be fixed up for starters.

These are closer towards completion. Graviton and Kingpin are just about finished.
WOW! They look great, Mordiganne!

Considering how crap they are I thought they'd use swivel joints like the shoulders.

so ive noticed several toy stores in my area have dropped the retro line as it was simply not selling.
do you think its time Hasbro passed the 1/18th scale licence to a rival company?

If they're just going to keep half-assing it with shit like those retro "figures" then yeah. Give it to somebody who will actually give a damn.

What I don't get is they still put some effort in Star Wars VC figures so why doesn't Marvel get the same treatment?

i was a kid when secret wars figures originally came out and they were a different design and scale to these retro figs. its crazy that they would take steps backwards with 4" marvel, while putting out fully articulated SW and Joes.
on a side note, those movie batman figs are decent.grabbed a penguin, hope they put out more.

I just hope they don't treat SW the same as they do Marvel any time soon. I'm loving what they're currently putting out. The new CW Maul is an awesome figure.

As for Spin Masters stuff I don't have anything from the new Batman movie but I have a few of comic figures and they're solid for sure. I wouldn't mind grabbing that Penguin to make a decent Kingpin.

Star Wars fans had to fight Hasbro about it for years.
don't forget they basically destroyed the mainline that was SA 3.75,
First they cut down sculpts and articulation around Phantom Menace 3D

Then they put all their effort into 6"
3.75 Black Series wasn't great but that was a slow drip feed.
they kill that

Mainline turned into awful 5POAs where youd get a main character of a cartoon that has her helmet off 90% of the show with a permanent helmet and no alternative head.

Walmart gets an exclusive SA 3.75thats super limited but at least gives us something new.
Hasbro kills the Walmart line before Last Jedi

5POA lines vehicles get screw up with Nerf.
TLJ and Solo's 3.75 5POAs get wayyyyy better...
TLJ's pegwarm so Solo's stuff gets cancelled making cooler stuff hard to even find
Hasbro kills the Star Wars mainline

Hasbro brings back Vintage Collection
Hasbro tries to kill it by immediately filling it with stuff that pegwarmed for years in the Walmart line.
Hasbro takes forever to get on Mando..... Mando has basically saved Vintage Collection

Star Wars 3.75 is now on a rebound however
1. Depth has been destroyed,
2. Vehicles are all but dead(so few and the few we get are wayy overpriced)
3. It takes over a year to get characters as they appear in media if we are lucky

I’m always amazed at the lack of mando figures and bounty hunters... hasbro just can’t seem to get the product out around the time a show is featuring the characters.

I picked up a mission fleet razor crest which is the smaller kids line (2.5” scale?) and hasbro tooled and added a cockpit and made it incompatible with 3.75” figures. They simply could have added a chair and the cockpit could easily fit the vintage collection figure. I know they wanted to push the Haslab razor crest and some would say “that’s good/smart business” but I think they could make even more if they played their cards right. I know the mission fleet vehicles are not to scale but I’m not sure the Haslab vehicles are 100% to scale either.

I also think the Star Wars figures make some great custom fodder. I am now looking for an Oscar Isaac figure to see if it will fit my MU moon knights

Distribution is a collector's worst enemy. I'm still waiting for the VC Book of Boba Fett figure I pre-oredred. Gamestop had it listed for a March 1st release and now it says 6/17. Don't really care how long it takes as long as it gets here.

Didn't mean to derail anything to SW talk. Just wanted to vent some frustration about the lack of any good Marvel figures out there. Just glad Hasbro got off of their collective asses and got some good SW stuff rolling out there again. Even if you can't find crap in stores these days. (or at least I can't anyway)

It just sucks, i freaking loved MU so much I made so many DC customs from them as well.
They gave us customizers a great source to make what they missed out on but it hurts to watch stuff like NWH, Dr Strange, etc and just be like
"i'd buy this, that and this, ohh and that, "

Possible AIM Bots. Lightyear toys are hitting Walmart. Picked up the 8inch Zyclops which has about 10 POA, so not to bad for a kids line. There will also be a 12 inch version and this purple bot, Zurg that folks are saying is a good base for some Sentinels.

$16.97 at Walmart and there's also a 12inch version coming, which I think will be in $20 range.

Iron Man 227 has the Mandroids as part of the Armor Wars and has a big fight that clearly shows the armors from all angles.

It's a great story too!
