Have our buddies in China (bluesduff and viperskingdom in this case) ever been known to sell straight-up knockoffs? Legitimate question; if so this is new to me.

Clear flight stands are like $5 on eBay. Can post a link when I get home. Just search for stage act stands by cheapest. Can't remember if it is stage act 3 or 4.

Ok guys, since MU has seen its last wave, I think its fair to have a discussion on what you think is the best wave. I had a hard time with this, but I had to settle with wave 19.

In my opinion... Wave 6 because of Warpath & Vision and Wave 4 because of Moon Knight & Blade.

That's this last wave right? I'll have to agree with you there as well, pretty bad ass selection of characters they chose.

Wave 19 was great, as was 18. Two of the best waves. 19 had a lot of broken Punishers though.

Wave 9 was pretty good with Iron Patriot, Skrulls, a great Wrecker figure, Iron Spidey, and even Winter Soldier. Gave us much needed characters to full certain teams and a cool army builder.

Wave 13 was super strong with 90's Cyclops, Cable, Apocalypse, and a great Gladiator figure that kids seemed to hate.

Let's not forget wave 8 with a lot of highly desired figures. Sure, we are sick of seem Colossus now but then he was a great addition and the rest still are. Never saw Archangel in the wild.

For me I would have to say it's a tie between wave 13 and wave 18. Maybe the slight edge goes to wave 18 because that was the first wave that I felt I had to have every figure in it. All the other waves I pass on someone unless I can get them on the cheap.

3 of those 4 are kinda sucky figures. They are just expensive.

Random thought, but does anyone else get the feeling that if Walmart does another Marvel value pack during the holidays that it will be full of the Amazing Spidey, Ultimate Spidey, and IM3 5 POA p.o.s. figures? Just had this pop into my head and it is awfully depressing...

I think the Black Friday ads are already out and they're not doing any value packs.

I agree. A nice array of characters that help add to almost every team in marvel history.

Avengers
Champions
Alpha Flight
New Warriors
Defenders
X-men

Well... I paid about $8.99 for each at the time. They're sure not "sucky" in my opinion.

IMO the Archangel wave was the best because IMO it was the first truly great wave that showed the potential of what MU could be. Plus, there was all that initial hubub about the Death Mask and Classic Havok variants and which would end up being more rare... it was such an exciting time for MU. LOL.

They use that stubby body that is universally disliked. Hasbro made much better stuff later. Most of us passed on figures like Blade a number of times because they didn't look good. Part of the rarity may be that collectors passed and so not as many of them were kept in good condition. The fact that Hasbro didn't reissue those figures or make new versions is why people still chase them, they don't have another option. The paint is nice on Vision but he's far from Hasbro's best work.

That's a bummer. I just missed on getting a green mandarin last year, still looking. I have a red one from the 2 pack, the removable mask is great especially for the scale.
I have to go with the archangel wave as the best, I never did see that one at retail either.

I'll make a decision on favorite wave when I finally get these last two in-hand.

I too have never seen a Green Mandarin and when everyone and their mother got one in the bulk packs and discount stores nobody wanted to share

It's hard to pick best waves because I cherry picked a lot early on. I will say that the comic packs were some of my fave in the series. I only wish Antman was released

My three Wendigo, the executioner and ANTMAN !!! Why can't we get a normal size of this guy or the wasp !
