I have 200 or so MU on my shelves (I don't do ML). I'm an opener and a customizer.

I'm in the Atlanta area. I've seen wave 1 of MI, but it has been quiet lately.

awesome! what kinds of customs do you do? I occasionally try at it, but either they suck, or if I am happy with one, Hasbro makes it a month later and it blows mine out of the water.

I saw this recipe somewhere else on the net today....

The 5" Groot, the cheap one NOT the baf one.... pop off head, hands and legs just below the elbow and the knees. Place on Young Patriot ML body...done. Tall and beautiful Groot 7" custom!!!

An AIM buck has the PERFECT look to it to match his GotG shape, but needs painting.

The new SDCC Starlord figure.would be.the.best, but it MAY go for 50+ in th aftermarket.
I thought.the Young Patriot worked best. The white pants are a bit off, but still acceptable, IMO. Paint or don't... looks good in a group shot... Really completes the team.

The 5" figure is cheap enough and a.YP ML on eBay is under $20...
Cheap way to have an AMAZING Groot that out does the $70 ba f and is perfect scale with the three pack team!!!

ok guys quick question... I want to articulate some of my 3.75 and 5-6 inch figures
what joints would I need for each size? I heard about revoltech joints but don't know what scale size to look for.

Thanks

I can't believe the MU GoTG 3 pack shelfwarmed long enough at my TRU to suddenly become relevant with the upcoming movie. LOL. It reminds me of when IM2 figs pegwarmed long enough for the IM3 movie.

Even I kinda feel like buying the GoTG 3 pack just for Starlord now. LOL.

I do only 3.75" scale. The easiest way to see my work is finding my user profile on Figurerealm. I'd link it, but I don't know if that's against the rules here. I'm prepping to leave for the long weekend - I'll try to post pics of my collection and some customs next week.

You can get a grab bag of 100 random Revoltech joints on eBay for $19 or $20. If you work in both scales (and considering that each scale has a variety of body types) I'm sure you would end up using a lot of them.

Does anybody cast custom translucent parts? I'm not super keen on paying c. $50 for Radioactive Man just for translucent green hands.
