Don't have either, but looking at 'em online: SHS has more pose and arguably better paint apps, the fiercest foes toxic blast venom has less pose but looks a little better standing (I like the head better too). So far I'd say if I had to get a Venom I'd try to find the stretch strike Venom (best sculpt I think and the biggest). For the Green Goblin I use the ASM comic line missile strike figure, since I found it at a Ross for $4 and it has pretty good sculpting.

got offered a trade and was wanting some input....
5 of the HYDRA army builders I LOVE LOVE LOVE 2 A.I.M. Soldiers 4 MU Skrulls (not movie) and a decent (not great) Super Skrull and???? (he said 5 other COMMON type figures) and we need stuff for customs For a complete mint baf GIANT MAN of mine and my son. He isnt too into him and we ALWAYS need more army builders. We got the GIANT MAN for cheap cheap cheap. We are geared towards almost entirely AVENGERS in our collections (with S.H.I.E.L.D.,AIM,HYDRA SKRULLS and 90's X-Men)....now we have an AntMan...do we need a GIANT MAN? I think so, AND just got his hand (the last piece Friday!!!) I think he is vital to have. If I get the builders I know at SOME point we will be looking for GIANT MAN again. Also, you dont really get that YES feeling when get more army builders that are not the end of your build.... thoughts?

Hey ukmu - my collection is centred around the Avengers like yours and I have Hank Pym represented by all his identites - Ant Man, Giant-man, Goliath and Yellowjacket.
I just think Hank Pym is such a big part of Avengers history, and the fact he changes identities so often is also a big part of Avengers history that any Avengers collection needs them all. But then I know you are big into army building so its a tough call. You could always pretend the Ant Man is Scott Lang or Eric O'Grady. |

UKMU, I KNOW you and your and son LOVE army builders but KEEP the Giantman he is hard to get for cheap and just plain hard to get as you can see by the trade this guy is trying to make. I would keep it.

Keep the Giant-man, sir! As a low-end collector, I can try to find the ones listed for the trade but NOT that damn BAF.

While on the giant man subject has anyone tried to put the legends head on the universe body? I have the red and blue MU gigantic battles goliath I would love to do a head swap and then start to hunt for the yellow and blue goliath.

right...... you guys convinced me. i was having a momentary HYDRA relapse i guess!!! Thanks for the 'intervention' gang!!! I am weak and need help from time to time!
cheers!!!! I guess it was SO lucky that i got the figure for next to nothing and only missing a left hand, which isnt a hard piece to get that I didnt appreciate him as much as I should have. I do respect his quality and rarity, just is hard getting to my 30 HYDRA troopers and thought...maybe. I guess something inside said no, that is why i asked.... thanks again for setting me back on track. Avengers...... Assembled (still)

Please do not steal bandwidth. Host images yourself using a free image hosting service like Imgur, Flickr or Photobucket. - Toyark Staff I was also wrong about the name of the figure I have, it's actually called "glider attack Green Goblin", and it's the only GG I have, but here it is next to the MU version anyway. I have no idea how good the Green Goblin from the Spider-Man fiercest foes line is, but the ASM looks great and sizes well (even without the man-purse).

Yeah, but that doesn't bother me so much. The glider is a much more iconic part of the Goblin character, and this one is one of the largest in this scale (compared to the MU glider at least). I also find that the ASM goblin's head sculpt is better than the MU by a good bit. All in all it's not too different than the MU skrull vs Avengers skrull, MU has better pose and paint, movie line has better sculpt and presence.

the SHS one is nice..... i dont have it, but it looks cool. If i were to ever get Spidey 3.75" figures, that is the one I would go for. We one 1 Spider-Man in our Avengers.

I was looking at Avengers Rosters and all in all we dont have very many left. Withe StarFox being made here are the main guys and gals I noticed that are missing :
1.Mantis 2.Moon Dragon 3.Photon (Captain Marvel) 4.Tigra 5.Hellcat 6.Joscata 7.Quasar 8.Swordsman Villians 1.Graviton 2.Count Nefaria 3.Viper 4.Madame Masque 5.Ronan 6.Annalahus 7.Kree (army builder) Out of these, Ronan(due to movie), Photon (ethnic character), Kree (i'm so surprised they havent done this one),Viper and Graviton would be top picks |
