I see Starfox is on ebay....for a cool 60 bucks.

After seeing that Infinity Gauntlet on the shelf it looks great!!! Think Blaze will want to be Thanos for Halloween.... if old Dad can find him one with out selling a kidney.

Can't wait for the weekend and all the news and rumours and pics and complaints!!!!! I woke up at 6 am like a kid on Christmas ready to check ToyArk!!!!! Almost 2 full pages of news on the front page when i awoke..... Good stuff good stuff.

I like the idea of Rocket Raccoon being single carded because I can grab a few for cheap I hope because I want more of his weapon. It is a sweet gun. Also, if that wave 4 was in stores RIGHT now it would sell like crazy, the other GotG toys are HOT HOT HOT at the moment. By the time they do (which is most likely never) show up in stores the buzz will have died down. Pity... more they sell more we get.

Ionic Wonderman looked cool with the light flooding through him. Starfox in all his skinny glory was starring at me! Funny the 'most handsome character' in the Marvel world is a ginger haired scrawny half brother of Thanos. Like Richie Cunningham from Happy Days getting all the ladies and not the Fonze..... but AAAHHHHHYYYYEEE, what do i know, right?

Ready for a long, nail biting weekend and some F5ing. I am looking forward to excitement and disappointments of this glorious weekend.

It's only preview night, there's a slim chance we could see more as the con progresses.

Strewth. It's almost the end of July and I still don't have figures from them that they were shipping to other people back in June.

Which we'll probably have to buy online since stores aren't stocking these at the moment.

I only caught the first MI wave at one Target in my area, and it was pretty much "one and done" after that with no restocks or new waves. Cancelled my BBTS preorder as well because it was going nowhere; I really can't remember the last time I ended up seeing a preorder through them to completion because of how long they take to get anything in stock.

Mine says in stock in my POL but I haven't shipped it yet, waiting for the XML TRU exclusives to hit before shipping, I hope it's actually in my POL though.

Maybe next year they will call my son to borrow some more HYDRA troopers. He watched that 45 second video and said, "They only have like 15 HYDRA troopers Dad..... no wonder the good guys are winning!!!"

That could have possibly been the 'IT' moment in collecting for me. I can't see how on earth that reaction and statement could ever be topped in our house, or from our collection! To see ALL that was going on and then to remark that he has a LOAD more troopers, was AWESOME....I was thinking the same thing!!!

single HYDRA trooper- $35
SDCC Red Skull figure- $50
Viper and Baron von Strucker custom parts- $40
Vehicles and playsets for custom HYDRA army- $350
hearing that statement.....PRICELESS.

I think the situation right now is that even if Hasbro hasn't given up on the 3.75 line, most major retailers have, and that makes it hard for me to get very enthused about new reveals. Any potential advantage the rebranding may have given the 3.75's to appeal to retail stores has been choked out by the deluge of low quality movie line junk taking up real estate. Seriously, I just saw a whole section of IM3 Assembler stuff yesterday still priced at original msrp in a nearby Target, not to mention the junky ASM and Cap 2 3.75 stuff sitting right next to it stinking things up. If those are going to be sitting in stores for the next 2-3 years (with the added 2.5 inch GoG pile for good measure), I don't expect to see any further MI waves in my area.

So until we get a chance to see the official SDCC dio in all its glory I give you a little piece of the one I am currently working on. I didn't want to post pics until I had my finished Kree Soldiers. My favorite is the Warpath Buck since he is like a giant bruiser of a Kree.

I would guess that's just for Hasbro stuff, I've never preordered anything marvel or transformers from anywhere, but I find BBTS reliable for all of the things I do preorder. If I had a wave preordered and it took a long time to arrive, I'd check other online stores or just hold on to it and hope that one day the items arrive.

Im thinking of doing a new dio myself. Avengers Mansion specifically.
I might use this as the front view:
https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4118/4...fbcc69f7_z.jpg

I can print out grass and a driveway texture for the front of it.

on ebay, the seller MOONBASETOYSANDCOLLECTABLES has 367 rare and wonderful figures for CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP, all on auction. Not many have their accessories though, so they MAY not go for loads of cash. Plenty of AIM, Frost Giants, variants, even a super duper rare Maria Hill still at a reasonable price (currently less than 2 bucks more than a SDCC 2014 loose Starfox) for the (unconfirmed) rarest MU figure out there.

Good job landing the Nebula you wanted ChuckSass!!!

Samsson, I am sure the ML fans have dreamed of our figures too. They are excited now for a Blastaar and Gladiator.... so, theres that. (laughing inside) We just had three AWESOME waves this year and the GREATEST wave of all time (arguably) just a few weeks ago..... keep the faith!

Bmorr.... that was YOU in the bushes snapping pics of my summer home yesterday!!!! You dirty so and so.... GREAT idea B, I am ALWAYS amazed by your dio pieces!!! All of us are mate! Go for it!!!

K-Dub in the hizzy!!!!! Man that is double oh dope!!! Looks REALLY nice, those heads are spot on! Some one said use the Whirlwind body (for the paint) and use those decals for the chest. What you did looks fantastic my friend!!!!!! Kudos!!!

Ultraman..... retail is dead like disco. Done and dusted as we say here. That is why i doubt we will see ANY more movie figures in the near future. Also, i would be VERY surprised for any solid news about future waves.... just some speculation. Might show the leaked wave 5 & 6, but I doubt too many highs for us from the weekend. I am staying upbeat though, lord knows there are enough Comic Book Guy types on toy sites.... maybe the new beast(s) are Jim Lee style and not 'cat' versions and the Bishop is the one that everyone wants. Perhaps Emma and Executioner are on the way with NorthStar for 1st quater next year.

That said... I may start a facebook group for Scuba Spiderman 3.75" appreciation and look at pics of him in weird places around the world!!! He is ACTUALLY on my radar now, I need him!!!! Like a piano key neck tie.... just too tacky to NOT have one.

i just learned a trick to print that beast out. save the image as a pdf, open adobe reader, and print suing the poster option. I had to figure out the size, but to get it scale right, its 20" tall 52" wide. it'll take up eight sheets of letter paper. I'll transfer it to a poster board after.

Ugh, none of those are BINs though. It's such a c-tease because it's like "Look! Decent prices!" but by the time the auctions end they're gonna be twice as much as anybody would wanna pay for them.

I've seen wave 1 of MI all of twice, both at a target, once all figures but Wasp and the second time just Iron Man and Cap. It's being kept of life support by a rebrand so I do agree in technical terms this line is dead at general retail. The last few waves of MU were only slightly better (I think the last wave I saw a general stock of at times at retail was the Scarlet Witch/She Hulk/Kang wave and that was late 2012.)

Honestly their best bet would be to do this as a collector's subscription. at least for a few years - until the glut of Cap, Iron Man, Thor Spiderman toys are eventually moved out of retail. Marketing to subscribers would allow them to pass over those core characters and move on to what we the collecting community would really like to see.

I would join such a club. It's not like I've bought a single MU/MI figure at retail in 2-3 years anyways. Local comic store yes but not general retail.

Edit - I should add that cost wise if we were to get 2 figures a month and $15 each (or $20 if you included shipping costs) that would run you around $480 for the $20 cost. To me it would actually be worth it. I know that's probably crazy but there you go.

Double edit: I lied !(misremembered actually!) I found a Hercules figure at retail. But I really do thin that's it.

DUDE! you so blew my cover. I've been watching all those listings hoping to rebuild my collection & not go broke LOL. Ok why does every SDCC become stressful for me? Maybe because I spend all freaking weekend trying to get a friend to pick me up the Marvel Universe exclusive. hasbrotoyshop is a complete nightmare for me. Are there any good pix of the diorama up yet or just the vid?
