Thanks forgot to include that as well, seems like HTS is the best place to get the latest MI's now. That's actually interesting they skipped the 2nd wave though or the Ares wave 3? Too bad no more free shipping over 50 dollar orders though.

Yeah and they posted new TF's at the same time too. Would have been great to have that free shipping! I would have saved more money than 10%.

Dang it! Red She Hulk's arm broke off maybe a second after I got her out of the package (I was trying to get the arms unstuck after she was opened. The left arm was stuck ). What is it with Hasbro and weird quality control?

That happened with my first Kang, while taking it out of the bubble his left arm stayed in the bubble while the rest came out. Luckily they let me return it, and also happened to have opened another case so I could get another. Unfortunately Hasbro is too big to have any reliable customer service, I wish they did, but they don't.

Thanks Skywarrped for the ID's
That's too bad about Red She Hulk. I'm always afraid that will happen when pulling the arms out of the pack. |

I'm looking at the sandman link and I'm not sure that's the one. The one I have doesn't have and extendo arm thingy. Also, his hand and hammer are on opposite hands than the Amazon one. I'll keep looking.

I never really put much thought to it cuz I bought her when she came out, but why is Firestar so expensive now? Other than yeah they don't have those 3 packs in ToysRUs anymore, was she hard to find at the time? I feel like the only 3 pack I didnt see more than twice was the one I missed with the Yellow Daredevil in it

No kidding, I feel like the 10% is the free shipping oh well, better then nothing I suppose. Still beats having to run around trying to find them though, saves gas and time. Plus the Generations are a lil cheaper then TRU and Target.

Ok guys. I 1st want to thank you all for your input while I've been running through ideas. I am going to sell off all of my joes & fodder on ebay. I will be listing all of my doubles & not wanted MU figures on here for trade/sale. I am going to keep my collection & just pick/choose the characters I like & that will fit in my desired display. Having said that, here is what I think is an awesome kit bash I just made up while sorting through my figs.
I just swapped the lower arms & legs of the AA & WS Red Skull. Then did the hot glue head trick to fit the peg. The Makeshift hydra troopers are Retaliation Cobra Troopers I have 10 of them but only 1 yellow web gear so yeah lol.

I've never shared any full collection pictures before, but I just finished a diorama/stand piece (like a wrecked building or construction zone, use your imagination) and got myself some room for more figures. So here my MU collection is from left to right (except for IM2 War Machine), it's kind of from theme to theme, kind of.

And since you requested, this is my "adult collectibles" set up, there are some other Predators in the room and the Trilobite from Prometheus is below the shelves, but this is mostly it.

****Nerd Rage Alert****
Trying to get MI at a reasonable price seems to be impossible. First, I don't buy cases because I have no need for duplicates of figures I already have or don't want. I also don't want to spend money on figures that are going straight into a drawer. Second, what is the deal with HTS? They skip waves now? I went to pre-order Wonderman and, with shipping, $17. Ah, no. And Amazon, my trusty back-up, has not put up the Ant-man wave for $10.99 like it has every other wave. Now they are $15-$20 with Prime. Its not like I can go out to ANY store and buy them, because no stores around me sell them. Plus, for $10.99, I was willing to pay a little more if it meant I was saving money on gas. If Hasbro is going to make these so hard to find and buy at a decent price, then I don't need the aggravation. Who am I kidding, I will eventually break down and buy them. I am too addicted to my plastic crack to stop. Do you think HTS will ever have this wave, or Amazon will offer at $10.99? Or should I just pay the current Amazon price because that is the best it will get? ****Nerd Rage Over**** |

WVMarvel.....
Chinabay has SOME of that wave for VERY cheap(ish). You are gonna just have to bite the bullet mate and pay the devil his due. If you wanna play, gonna have to pay. Collectors here in the UK (and world wide and even rural America) have had this problem since DAY ONE of MU even, they are not readily available in shops, so you have to buy online and pay international shipping and sometimes import duties. Suck it up cowboy and spend that cash....

went by my local comic store yesterday and as I always do I got an initial thrill when I saw they had new MI figures. After realizing they were the "repack" wave (GOTG) my happy expression quickly turned into a snarl. They said they've had trouble selling them (I wonder why even at their pretty good collector prices.)
I just hope Hasbro doesn't take this wave as a sign of what sales the line will have. If it makes it to general retail stores kids might buy it for GOTG but how often do you see MI at retail? I've still only seen wave 1 excluding Wasp at general retail. |
