****Nerd Rage Alert****
Trying to get MI at a reasonable price seems to be impossible. First, I don't buy cases because I have no need for duplicates of figures I already have or don't want. I also don't want to spend money on figures that are going straight into a drawer. Second, what is the deal with HTS? They skip waves now? I went to pre-order Wonderman and, with shipping, $17. Ah, no. And Amazon, my trusty back-up, has not put up the Ant-man wave for $10.99 like it has every other wave. Now they are $15-$20 with Prime. Its not like I can go out to ANY store and buy them, because no stores around me sell them. Plus, for $10.99, I was willing to pay a little more if it meant I was saving money on gas. If Hasbro is going to make these so hard to find and buy at a decent price, then I don't need the aggravation. Who am I kidding, I will eventually break down and buy them. I am too addicted to my plastic crack to stop. Do you think HTS will ever have this wave, or Amazon will offer at $10.99? Or should I just pay the current Amazon price because that is the best it will get? ****Nerd Rage Over**** Try Dorksidetoys...if those prices arent good...hit me up I have a shop here selling them at decent prices |

Great job guys!" I love this line but I feel like he is referring to MU/MI. I did a lot of traveling this weekend to a ton of targets, same thing, empty pegs for MU with gray dots. Hasbro just isn't making enough to go around. I have resorted to ordering by the case and from online retailers cuz looking for this stuff at retail is pointless. The current brand manager is all about 6" Legends it seems like. Also stopped by target yesterday as they restocked that ninja turtles sewer lair, got all excited thinking it would be $14.99, but the employee started yelling at me it was regular price (as I was on the phone corralling my kids). They sold out everywhere right away at that price. I was bummed, it would have made a great morlocks hideout/ mutant massacre dio, but I doubt hasbro would ever make morlocks or marauders. Probably for the best I didn't get that playset as it may take up too much space. |

Well then I stand corrected, they do have customer service, they just don't get around to everybody.

I have to know, and I surprised no one else has said anything, but what's up with your Absorbing Man? I know about Black and white with flesh tone, Solid "Metal" variant, and Purple with "Phasing"(from comic pack). Yet yours seems to either be a kit bash or a custom and it has me interested.
*Off Topic thanks for the Pacific Rim shot of your collection EnSabah I am pumped about Otachi but that price tag has me hesitant. All I am currently missing is the SDCC End Credits boxed set. Back on topic yes it is a custom Blackheart I will get a better photo to show it off. He is a bit small but other than that I really like the way he turned out. LOL well i just popped open the chest & swapped parts. Same vice trick you would use on GI Joes. It works way easier on MU Figures.
These are my very lazy custom/kit bashes so far. You may not even be able to classify them as customs. Some are just new gear or hand changes. I try & keep it simple.

Okay, I guess I did not get enough sleep last night and let my nerd rage get the best of me. Both Entertainment Earth and Dorkside toys say the Ant-man wave are coming soon (so they have pre-orders). I guess I will be patient and wait a little longer to see if Amazon gets them for $10.99 with Prime. I am just impatient I guess. It just frustrates me that I have money that I want to give to Hasbro and Hasbro is doing everything in its power to not take it.
"Here Hasbro, here is my money, take it." "No, I don't want it, give it to that guy who raids TRU and Walmart and is asking twice what I am asking for the same product." "Why don't you want it? It's money! Legal tender, U.S. dollars. I want to give it to you. Its right here, on the counter, just take it and give me figures. I see the figures, they are right there. I give you the money and you give me the figures." "Nope. Don't want your money. We are good. Haven't you heard, we are a non-profit now. We make toys and fail to distribute them. Now we don't make a profit." "You can make a little profit if you take my money." "No thank you." "Don't you want me to be a loyal customer?" "No. We are content making grown men beg us for toys like petulant 8 year old children. We video your tantrums and put them on YouTube." "I hate you Hasbro! I am going to give Mattel money for Multiverse figures." "Hahahaha. Good luck with that, they don't want to sell you figures either. They hate you more than we do." |

I'm gonna steal a page out of ninjinister's book and quote David Vonner's tweet from 2/9/13:

When I was at my parents house last week I pulled out a box of old Lego and sorted them. Brings back memories. There was also a box with a pirate island set.
Yesterday I checked out the main comic shop in town. Pretty decent. Lots of vintage stuff and good prices. Grabbed Wonderman from him and in a couple of months when I move down I imagine I will buy a lot more. Forgot to take a picture of all the loose Star Wars Vintage. He also had a few featured areas with new stuff. Only wanted $20 for 6" Boba Fett so the guy isn't crazy like a lot of shop owners.

Back to army building again..... if hasbro keeps this up with new waves 5, 6 and maybe into wave 7 with the crapptastic figures they have shown at SDCC, i will most likely have 100 of each army before i have 5 new figures!!!
Been helpig out ALOT of collectors lately and the toy gods are smiling on me recently! Good stuff. Found some GRAIL pieces for some, helped a few sell entire collections and got 4 new collectors started. Even got yet another maria hill.... that makes 7 of her i have gotten in a year!!!! I am ALWAYS looking for her at GREAT prices and trading them to guys that have been looking for her (like I was) forever often even at a loss to me just to help spread the love!!! Maria Hill is the figure i sought FOREVER and is how i even came to find toyark even. I seek her out now for the same buzz I got when i got her, by giving someone else that buzz. Anyway, GREAT toy karma has come to me lately and i love it when you go on a nice run!!!

I never really put much thought to it cuz I bought her when she came out, but why is Firestar so expensive now? Other than yeah they don't have those 3 packs in ToysRUs anymore, was she hard to find at the time? I feel like the only 3 pack I didnt see more than twice was the one I missed with the Yellow Daredevil in it
No one wanted that set because of duplicates of Silver Surfer & Iron Man. |

Yeah I've never seen a firestar in person, very frustrating. Spiderman and his amazing friends is a great show, I can't find her for a decent price, so getting her for $6.50 or whatever was a steal. I finally found a local toy store and picked up an MU gladiator, xmow wolverine with stasis chamber, and dcuc mongul (in scale with my 4" dc stuff) for $20, but nowhere near that firestar pickup.

Saw one in Germany go for €15 last week.... about £11 for me or around $20 for you guys, shipped worldwide included... check other ebays often as they usually don't show up in international searches! hot tip of the day
There is a seller in Italy that almost always has great deals. I find my best scores from Turkey quite often. Even with shipping costs, it is 20%-60% cheaper than US ebay. Buy global collect local.

Just got home from day 1 of the Baltimore ComicCon. It's awesome this year! It's like twice the size it has been in years past. Knocked a few things off my wants list as well. I went through all the vendors today just to kinda scout it out. I wound up picking up some MU/MI figures. 1 guy had MI $15 each or 2 for $20. I got Red She Hulk & Ironman. Another guy had 5 for $60 so I got Whirlwind, Deathlok, Darkhawk, Wonderman & Deaths Head. I then broke down & paid another vendor $15 for Valkyrie. Freaking Ares was $25-$30 as were most of the MU figs there. I would have picked up more but I really do not wanna pay what these folks are asking. I then picked up a book I was looking for. Uncanny X-Men #248 1st Jim Lee. It's a 9.6 CGC Signed by Jim Lee & Chris Claremont. It was a pretty cool day.

I was at fan expo last week and all the new waves were like $20+
I got Red-She Hulk from a bookstore for like 7.99 and the guy laughed and was like "Red She Hulk, what the f**k is that" but yet at the con she was going for $35… and it was gone when I returned to that booth by EOD. I thought these new figures were gonna be cost effective

Yeah tell me about it. The con was not good for me lol. It only fueled my addiction. It's a good thing I'm not a huge legends collector. Sweet lord I have never seen so many Marvel Legends in one place. It's like they are all in Baltimore this weekend. But like I said I'm not gonna go crazy about it just couldn't pass up those deals on those figs. I think it was pretty good compared to the ebay prices as of late. I'm seeing $6-$10 figures going for $18-$26 right now it's crazy. I'll try & get some pix up tomorrow, just beat right now. Another long day @ the con.

^ I've seen a lot of legends lately too, no 4" stuff tho. It's annoying seeing so much mashers and titans but no MI anywhere.
Thanks for the offer but that would just frustrate me. I did not live here when that 3 pack was released . One day I'll get a firestar for a decent price, wouldn't mind that iceman either. |
