Anyone else starting to wonder if MI might get rebranded next spring into a Secret Wars line to coincide with the new Marvel event?

Marvel said something about working with Hasbro and their other partnerships during NYCC. With the multiverse nature of the event and the anniversary plus secret wars comic packs were the first comic packs made, it kind of seems like this would bring the line full circle back to its roots.

Here's hoping if they do, they cover a lot of the newer marvel like female Thor, Falcon Cap, Red Onslaught, Spider-Gwen and more!

That would be interesting, hopefully the cards will be a lot better then the MI's.

Had a crazy thought..... maybe just maybe hasbro WAS right. If you are lucky enough to have seen MI in person it most likely was wave 1. When released we ALL wanted WASP and GRIM REAPER and said that hasbro should make more females and more villains. We even chastised them for re-releasing another Cap and Iron Man. Now that they have had a chance to settle in almost every area they are hanging.... it the female and lesser know villain thatr are left to peg warm while mostly the Cap and iron man figures were bought up..... I am actually having a hard time digesting that thought. Someone please help and tell me that hasbro wasnt right about this!!!!

I don't know about the rest of the states (and I know you're in the UK, I believe?) but I have yet to see Wasp in the wild ever (even in my local comic shops!). I've seen Grim Reaper a few times but mostly what I see, not that any of it is a lot, is Captain America and Iron Man. I see Hyperion and Hulk about the same as Grim Reaper though. But I think the issue may be because Wasp was the 1 per pack figure, that makes the difference.

What would be nice is to see something beyond wave 1 in the wild (excluding specialty stores of course.)

I can't say that they were wrong, but I have seen a ton of Ironman and Captains warming the pegs stateside. Also we all thought that Ionic WM would be the hard to find figure from the Guardian repack wave, yet it is the only one I have consistently seen at retail. I really did not expect that at all.

To this day, I honestly think that Hasbro's case pack strategies are wrong... if they evenly represented every character in a case, I seriously think it'd reduce peg warming and scalping all in one shot. Until they show some kind of hard data that proves otherwise, I've seen pegs of heavy packed characters and a ton of scalper ebay listings that support my theory. =)

I think that's because he's the only one a novice or kid wouldn't recognize, he's not been featured in any media lately, where as the guardians have been on all the cartoons, and in there own movie.

I've only seen wave 1 of the MI's so far, will be interesting to see if the rest of the wave follows during the holiday season, if it doesn't man so so sad.

I stopped by Ross to look for the Leader, but I did not have any luck. Then I went three doors down to the 5 Below, and they have four pegs of that wave!

I ended up picking up one of each. If they hang around, I may end up coming back for more for custom purposes.

On that note, it would be wonderful if wave one hits too, because there are plenty of figures with great custom potential there.

@irontuck.... that IS impressive! I am sure the misses enjoys you setting them up in the kitchen!

To wave 1... I have seen them in like 4 places only here in UK, but there are Caps and Iron Mans hanging as well... but they were packed like three to one. Also the full wave is on chinabay for really cheap and even have their accessories too.

I don't believe wave 2 or 3 will be hitting retail much at all. They really missed the mark with their not having GOTG for Christmas. I did see that someone posted that Was Mart had pics of wave three on site but none available.

Also I thought Ionic Wonderman was going to be super rare as well K, I got three for trade fodder and only managed to trade one.... and it was to you...and you didn't really even want him!!! So there went my speculation theories.

Also, if anyone sees a few of those Nick Fury figures for a fiver at Ross and 5 below.... I am trying t get a few of them.

If they made Red Onslaught before original Onslaught, I'd be upset. If I were making the call, I'd release Onslaught as a regular big figure like Apocalypse and then (this is hypothetical) make an AXIS multipack containing Red Onslaught who would just be a head swap from regular. I miss multipacks.

I found an avengers assemble black widow and falcon at Ross today. I still need to find an antidepressant hulk.

@ukmu too are you guys gonna use these as shield agents? I thought about removing the trench coat and doing that, still would need to paint the sleeves tho and add another head.

^ you could probably get away with just head swapping a couple, and leave the coat, like Nicks "entourage", or just clip the coat short like a wind breaker.

sort of like this
I am actually painting the body black and keeping the bits white. I decided to go black and white that is why I got rid of the 3 pack SHIELD troops. All to match Maria Hill really.... these are not figures, just sharing the idea.
