Price hike is also on the DC Multiverse line. In my area, DC, Marvel Infinite, and SW 4in Black Series are all $12.99 each at Target.

I guess Hasbro is trying to force people into liking the new tiny figures with the new pricing.

Excellent "rant" Kylactus. I've felt so much the same way recently, and this price jump isn't helping matters. Granted I have bought online from anywhere from $15-$30 but now it'll probably be more like $25 - $50 for whatever piddling assortment they offer us.
I'm calling it now, the line will die by the end of the year. They may eek out the waves with Emma/Executioner but I contend now that's going to be the last of it. And for all the things they've done to fridge the line, they will put it on us the buyers that they didn't support the line enough to continue it. You know what Hasbro? I can take the price hikes even though it's insane. But as I said earlier, you want people to actually buy your product, put it out there for distribution and get it to retail. This business of nothing new since the summer is freaking ridiculous. |

We're now in the position Legends fans were in when Universe started.
I wonder if we might get a situation like Transformers; at the moment you can buy custom 3.75" parts quite easily, if a market opens up where pre-painted parts or figures are available (third party figures), then Hasbro might just sit up and take notice (hence Transformers fans now having official combiner figures).

They aren't just repacks. If you look closer, Hulk has a movie accurate head, Cap's costume is a different sculpt and so is Iron Mans. If this is the 3.75" line for AOU then for Christs sake let them give us Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Vision & Ultron so we can use their heads for our own customs.

Although that Iron Man really was the IM3 toyline, I would hope then that they do what the Hall of Armour route again and release fully articulated new characters in a boxset. Perhaps like the first Avengers had the 8-figure boxset of the main characters.

If anybody has the scrotes to get them I'd love to see a comparison between the AoU and the AA figures.

I love how everyone is pissed about the price hike and lower quality, but then some morons go and start bidding way over it to get theses pos's from Asia anyways.

Thats the gotta have em all mentality. Honestly I'm not sure all those bids are "real" bids. I think its just the seller hiking the price in hopes of some guy that has the funds to pop out a higher bid.

notice also, that past waves were going for 50 and up before they hit the shore. I remember professor X Blastar, and Jubilee getting hung up for a few months and ending up available in Mexico. people were bidding crazy amounts. hell, I bid 85 for the prof (I bought into the hype and rumors, and thought the line might get canned) but got beat out by several bidders. so if the big 16 dollar pre sale china-bay price, witch if I'm reading everything I've seen lately correctly is, with free shipping, slightly less than you will pick one up for on store shelves come June, if you're store restocks, is the best they can do I think the collector community has spoken pretty loudly! If this was 2011 and this assortment of figures was coming out with correct articulation those prices would be through the roof and we'd all be chomping at the bit to score these... as it stands I'm feeling a "uh, might get Bishop, or beast" vibe from everyone. along with "what the f##k is up with that Spiderman?"

Just finished my Ronan custom. He's made up of the leg squeeze 4.5" Ronan from the movie and a Hobbit Bolg figure.

I stopped by target this morning and saw that the MI and dc multiverse went up to $13... Hopefully the quality goes back up. I mean we had better sculpts and articulation almost a decade ago. |

That's a sick Ronan. I am working on a comic version right now, not sure what to use for a head sculpt tho. I may pick up that gimmick one and do a movie version.

Fuck I swish they had made a 4 inch guardians line. Heroes and a bad guy or 2 is not much to ask of a company that made their name in this scale.

... the same three guardian that were in a shelf warming box set only a few months earlier... one of whom is basically an accessory! I give Hasbro all the kudos they deserve for the effort and consideration. In this day in age I know it's not PC to wish ill on anyone... but I hope they get really bad gas! seriously "I think I might be having a heart attack" style gas. If that offends anyone GFYS.

[IMG] ![]() Speaking of magnetic feet, I decided to snag one of those ASM2 green goblins after seeing the insane internet prices (I wouldn't pay more than the $5 at ross) but I have to admit the glider magnet gimmick is kinda cool. |
