I agree, Official Skurge just seems thin compared to any custom Skurge, comic or cartoon Executioner. I might just have to get him and a new Skaar/Orig Avengers Hulk to bulk him out

In the comics Skurge was rarely or never Hulk big so this buck seems appropriate. I know the cartoons wanted him to look more physically intimidating so they super-sized him, but in the comics he was barely any taller than Balder and about as muscular as Hercules (so more than Thor of the time).

One second look at the figure, it does seem about right, I would have given him a slightly broader chest and larger arms though. I kinda want him to look top heavy, so that his legs look too short for him, like in EMH I suppose but unlike his comic counterpart.

It's ok, when I've saved up my billions, I can buy Hasbro, buy Vonner back and tie him to a table so he can't leave again/be sacked and employ you lot for ideas. Then I'd make an EMH boxset of fully articulated cartoon-accurate Avengers & Masters of Evil, and one for Wolverine & the X-Men. With that, we move outwards to lines specifically for Movies & cartoons, Avengers, Spider-man, & X-Men and just start again with all this 3.75 Marvel figure nonsense.

I adore the Eaglemoss figurine. It's one of the best-looking representations of Skurge in 3D that I've ever seen. If we could get a figure that looks like that I'd be all kinds of happy.

And I'm sure we will.

In Marvel Legends.

I just realised something; Grim Reaper and Moon Knight have the same cape.
How about that.

I think the big buck works better. After seeing that collage with them all including the customs, the Eaglemoss figurine, the official Marvel image and the Hasbro offering..... i would rather give $60 for that awesome custom then $12 for the Hasbro version. Easily worth 5 times the retail in my eyes. I wont be getting one anytime soon, as I plan on having Arnim Zola made by one of the high caliper customisers soon.

I'm not one for setting up complex displays due to lack of space, but I might be getting one of those lamp posts just to have my 3.75 Spider-Men on it. Awesome idea man.

Ha! I'd actually be okay with that because there are some IM armors that I missed and some I'd love to use for custom figures.

Yes but I was afraid they would have been regular price when I scan them. As is common within Walmart clearance aisles here.

Ha, that's awesome! check back in a couple months, they might have some Secret Wars or Mego stuff out! At least your Wally found something to put on there shelves, ours look like something out of a post-apocalyptic wasteland with bare shelves flickering dim lights and the occasional opened ninja turtle, or crushed and mangled 5 POA spidey laying on the floor, no sit last time I was at Walmart there was a warm six pack of Coors light sitting on a shelf in the Toy Isle with one missing. it's thunder dome in that joint.

Who run Barter Town?

Great Spidey pic!!!!

Glad your stores have some assemblers left, those seemed to big hit for Hasbro.... I tried to type that with a straight face, epic fail.

Was working on the old SHIELD army last night. Just need to paint 7 more soldiers, add decals to their arms, get 2 more generic suited agents, finish Sharron Carter, and head swap some others on to Nock Fury cartoon bucks and it will FINALLY be finished! Taken a couple years but I am 98% there!

On another note about almost finished with armies

Need one MU Skrull as I used one for a kitbashed custom

Need two AIM heads for my AIM specialists, and build a Scientist Supreme

Need one more Chitauri Cosmic Charriot, which will be soon from our own Kdubious

Need to finish two flag holding HYDRA guys and am having an Arnim Zola made in May by one of the best around.

Need four more Doombots

Need 10 Moliods, Mole Man and a custom Giganto.... That will keep me busy until Christmas at least I know where to get the Moliod bases for two bones each and Mole Man is cheap.

Then when the next wave comes out with gold Ultron comes out pick up a handful of them, maybe some 5 poa movie Ultrons too... Will have to wait and see.

Most of the larger armies are just one or two figures away from being done, the rest are just time and money. As an army building nutter it is really nice to be so close to having the numbers I want!!!!

The mysterious coming back of IM2 figs at Walmart might be linked with the Joe POC appearing in the TRUs last month... like, maybe, they hired a new guy at Hasbro's stock and the guy found many many old toys cases...?
They might have some Visions at Ross soon, who knows?

I can throw in one with our ever evolving deal. Don't need anything in return as I have had this head for sometime and still not sure what I would do with it, so its yours.

Just some food for thought do you all think that MI will eventually start releasing figures we already have, like say Wolverine for instance, on the new less articulated bucks?

The reason why I ask is because currently MI is releasing a lot of figures on my must own list, but I have already created numerous customs on the much better Vonner Bucks. So it is really hard to swallow the price increase for a lesser quality figure that would, more or less, only replace something I already have.

I can never walk away from 3.75 as I am way too deeply invested, but I don't think I will be getting any of the must haves from the new wave. At this point the only figure I want is the Grey Beast and there is a huge maybe on Big Time Spidey.

Lastly I have to point this out. I have found more MI at Kroger (a grocery store) than I have at all my TRUs and Targets. So if people can't seem to find them anywhere give your grocery store a quick look.

Big time cheers for the Aim head!!!!

I agree, the newer waves are just pushed out and desperate. I say that because they seem to be releasing figures people want and need to get us used to the price hike and lesser articulation. Soon these will be standard and we will just accept it.

They have already killed completionists by not numbering them and the like. It seems like it is much easier to jump in and out when and where you choose. Out of all the figures we have seen I am not really excited for any of them. I won't be getting any from this wave, not because of articulation or packaging.... Just not my figures.

Those IamElemental figures looks great in your display too.

Oh yeah... Almost forgot, the figures from this wave are here in the UK this time too and at supermarket/grocery stores as well. Some toy places but looking in different places seems the way to go. I guess this is either Hasbro trying to diversify and reach new outlets for distribution ...OR...it is a desperate attempt to get them SOMEWHERE as the big retailers are picking and choosing waves or not getting on board at all.

has anyone noticed the biggest problem on Big Time Spidey? (aside from the lack of articulation) He's almost as tall as Cable! I thought the FF spidey was huge, but big time is crazy tall. why the hell they didn't just re paint the Ultimate spidey buck with big time colors is beyond me! I can tolerate a slight price bump... I can withstand long periods of shitty distribution....I can even vomit in my mouth and swallow a bit at lower articulation. but when you start f-ing with scale I get pissed!

it would be phenomenal to get like 10,000 of us in iron man masks to stand silently Hasbro HQ parking lot in military formation with candles and pro-3.75" signs demanding a return to quality, selection, distribution, and (on a lesser note stands and numbering) if shat gets nutty we could also burn some Legends in protest! and Samsson, I'll even make a "Release Skurge NOW!" banner for you to hold.
